I have been taking this birth control pill for a year now and for the past almost three months, my menstrual cycle has stopped. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and all were negative. I called the doctor a few weeks ago and he said it was normal. I really don't like missing periods. Has anyone experienced this? I may change pills soon. Thank you.
I'm on the same ones and I miss periods too. Sometimes have a bit of break thru mid cycle. I've been on them for 4 months now. Doesn't bother me too much about missing a period. I can certainly do without it lol! I'm fairly confident when I don't have a period that I'm not pregnant because I take them as prescribed.
Yes, its normal. I'm on it also and for the past few months I haven't hardly had a period at all. Sometimes I don't get anything and others barely anything. I've been on it for a couple of years now. My doctor said its normal. I'm not worried about it I hate getting my period. But I understand your concern no one wants to get pregnant that's why we're on it. I guess it boils down to if its okay with you not getting your cycle. Hope this helps you out. Take Care :)
I had this happen, but I also took it for three months straight w/o the sugar pills. After three months I took the sugar pills to get my period. For me missing the periods was awesome since I got cramps so bad that I had to miss work and even passing out a few times when I was younger. I don't however, have anything bad to say about this pill, I loved it and will try it once again once I am finished having babies.
I'm not lucky enough to have my period completely stop, but I'm extremely light. If it really bothers you missing periods, I was on ortho-cyclen before and my periods were light (not as light as with Loestrin), but I did have them monthly.
