Hi! I am looking for a place to hold a birthday party for my soon to be 6 y.o. son. We have done all the typical stuff, bounce U, Jungle wonder, kids & clay. I thought about a swimming party at the Y but parents would have to get in the water as well and I don't know how much they would want to. He wants his first "all boy" party, he & all his friends are super active so my house would be demolished if I had it at home. Any good ideas out there? His BD is in about 4 weeks so we have to hurry.

What can I do next?

The Greater Plymouth Community Center (www.thegpcc.org) on Jolly Road in Plymouth Meeting has a great indoor kids pool with a big slide...and parents do not have to go in! My niece had a birthday party there and the kids had a blast. After the swimming they provide pizza and cake too.

Hi T.,

I noticed you are in Collegeville....how about a party at Arnold's Family Fun Center? It's in Oaks, PA...not far at all.

I haven't had a b-day party there, but it's such a fun place!

Another idea would be Grand Slam USA in Malvern....still not really that far from you. They have more 'boy' things like batting cages, laser tag, etc.

I work at an awesome place called Play On located in Huntington Valley. We hold birthday parties with various themes. (my-playon.com) The Game Gym is very appropriate for active children. I teach cooking at parties also, so if you decide to have the party there, be sure to request me as your child's instructor.
Good Luck!

I did Bowling for my son when he turned 5 and it was a huge hit. When he turned six I looked into Arnolds Go Karts in Oaks (google for their web site). It was more than we wanted to spend so I had him invite 3 friends and they had a blast. There are Go Karts, Moonbounces, mini-bowling, laser tag, arcades and Pizza Buffet (real cheap). Good luck!

I think the firehouses do something for them, i have had all girls though so i never got to look into it :-) If i am correct they get to have a tour of the firetrucks etc. and then you go back to your house for cake. That age is so much fun!
