Little Red Bumps

This happened to my daughter and it resulted to be the soap she used to take a bath. I switched to a soap with no perfumes in it and the bumps went away. So, you might want to try switching his soap.

It could be anything. You might try a good lotion to make sure it's just not dry skin. Little boy has bad dry skin. It could also be an allergy to a perfume or dye. This also happens with my son so lotions are very had to use.
Make sure the lotion is free of prefume and dye to help with this.
If it doesn't do anything an two days it might be time for the doc to step in.

Well first are the vesicles,(do they have white heads on them?) If not then probably just a virus begininning or ending could be so mild no other signs there or there is always possibility of prickley heat it can come if sweating too much or skin overheated in anyway won't be itchy either.My son gets a blotchy rash or little red raised bumps every time he gets sick or even sometimes with immunizations. He also gets prickly heat if I don't put powder on his back at night he has always sweat alot in his sleep no matter how cool I keep the house. There is also the possibilty of dermatitis/eczema caused by severely dry skin, and heredity no specific cause is known or keratosis pilaris, the eczema he will most likely grow out of but the keratosis is permanant, also don't rule out allergies. If just showing though and has never had before probably just a viral infection running its course it can't hurt to call or go into the doctor. Good Luck its probably nothing to worry about I am an esthetician (skincare specialist) and I still called or took him to the doctor the first couple times it happend and each time they said just let it run its course. Especially if there are no other symptoms and they aren't vesicles. They are common with viral infections in young children.

The skin is reacting to something it perceives as an invader/foreign substance. The bumps are letting you know he has encountered something his body doesn't like --perhaps? Not sure where the bumps are and how many and if its all over or localized.....I was wondering that information because it could tell me more. More information as to what they exactly look like (pus, raised, flat ) lots of them or a few of them.... Did he touch something outside? Eat something different recently?

could be hand, foot, and mouth virus. especially if they are on his hand, feet, mouth, and diaper area. this is a mild virus (more discomfort than anything, maybe one day of fever). there is no treatment (just tylenol) and it will go away in about a week. you can read more about it online or ask your doctor about it. This is contagious, so keep that in mind.

bumps are such a vague symptom. It could be from many different things. And not every child will experience it the same. Just because he doesn't seem to be bothered by it, doesn't mean it isn't potentially harmful. Most of those you have to just wait it out. But you really should see a doctor to make sure. Mostly because you're so far along in your pregnancy. You don't want to chance passing something along to your infant. Be safe and get him checked out.

Of course, one hundred things it could be, sorry! Take her in and see! Just thought I would add one other experience. My friend's little girl had this at around 1.5 years old. She had just recently started eating a lot of strawberries and it turns out she is allergic. They didn't bother her either. Strawberries went away and so did the rash! I'm sure it is something mild, but definatley get a strep test as well. My doctor says it is going around fierce right now along with bronchitus.

You should have your pediatrician check him out to be sure. My youngest came up with a rash of little red bumps all over her body (didn't itch) around 2 years old also and my ped. said it was a very common childhood disease that goes away after a week or so. I don't remember the name of the disease but if I remember correctly, diarrhea was also due to the disease. If he is having diarrhea you want to be sure to give him lots of water/liquids to prevent dehydration and I think my ped. said to give tylenol for any uncomfortableness. my son had little red bumps on his feet, legs and hands...that looked kinda like antbite...it was the hand foot mouth...depends on where your bumps are ..could possibly be same thing..or something totally different like and allergy..

Where are the bumps? How long ago have they sprouted?
My son is 2 and has little red bumps all over his lower legs. They do not itch nor cause him any discomfort and his legs are very bumpy and rough to the touch. I'm thinking that (ped confirmed this) he has kerotosis pilaris, "Chicken skin". Alot of people only have these harmless unsightly bumps on their upper arms (my hubby does).
You should take your son to his ped, it could be nothing, but it could also be an allergy or something.

My son had the same thing, then he stopped eating. I brought him to the Dr and it was from strep throat.

That also happened to one of twin sons and the little red bumps looked kind of like a heat rash...It was on his upper back, upper chest area and a liitle bit on his neck. I was suprised that it didn't even itch either. I went to the doctor and the doctor told me that it was a very mild case of eczema...it has to do with the skin getting irritated. well since it is such a mild case they told me to get Aquaphor from Eucerin...it's a healing ointment that's for dry, cracked, or irritated skin. I put it on my son and I still put it on from time to and he hasn't gotten it ever since. My doctor said that it's better if you use this ointment instead of cream because what the ointment does is lock out all the extra moisture and the cream leaves the moisture. Try it out and see what happens. You can find this at cvs, walgreens, wal-mart, and I think maybe Target. If anything just ask your sons doctor about it. Hope I could help.
