i'm having a hard time finding my little guy clothes. today when i picked him up, his poor pants fell to his knees while he was running to me & he tripped on 'em! i felt so bad! they're size 18ms and i had 'em rolled up at the waist but it obviously didn't help. the 12 mos pants are WAY too short...anybody else have this prob and if so, what brand/store is good for this?
he easily wears 18 ms in tops, size 4 shoe & diaper for that matter, and 18 ms pants are simply too long, but not necessarily too big in the waist.
thanks!
:(
18 ms pants are all i have and i only have like 5 of them as it is! what to do... :)

What can I do next?

You can find adjustable waist in almost all stores, including Target! You just have to look for it. They are a life saver! My 13 month old wears 2T so don't feel bad!

I have the exact same problem. Like previous posters, there are pants that have the belt buckle on the inside and they are our life savers. Altho' slightly pricier than the average joe pants.

I've also those pants labeled 12-18 months seem to fit better than just 12mths or 18 mths. Old navy and gymboree (sp?) are the only ones I've found so far that do sizing that way. Also if you can find 'sprockets" the old Mervyn's brand pants they run small. So the 18 mth size fits my lil' guy perfect around the waist w/ plenty of length. Good luck.

I have have the same problem w/ my 2.5 yr old..I love the summer no length issues :)

Children's Place! The waists are adjustable. My DD wears 4T clothes but the pants just fall of her (she can put on her brother's 12 months pants!). She needs the long length but she is just so skinny.

I have the problem too, except the ones that have an adjustable waist still fall off my guy especially now that he doesn't wear diapers! i have safety pinned and sewn waists, but then i found a belt we're both in love with. sweats are usually ok because they don't have loose elastic, but anything else falls down. he can undo the belt himself because it's all velcro, and he always wants to show everyone when he's wearing it. check them out: http://cbellybelts.com/Site/Home-1.html

mine was the same way he will outgrow this mom he was so fat and his legs so short he needed a 12 month in length and a 2t in waist. I used shorts or tight pajama pants alot. the ones tight around the ankle yes they bunch up but he never tripped over them they make regular pants that are tight at the ankle too. or even hem or cut off if necessary. I found all brands to be more less the same problem. but I had no stores to chose from except hell mart (wal mart) was the only store in town with baby clothes.

If you don't want to go out and buy new clothes, how about just safety pinning them in the back?

Next time you buy clothes definitely go with the adjustable waist pants...who ever thought those up was a genius!

Have you ckd out Old Navy for todllers? I know in some of their girls and boys pants they now have and enclosed elastic band that you button looser or tighter depending on the waist size of the child. Gap Kids may have these too and they are great. Look for sales at Gap Kids or and outlet store, they tend to be pricey if not on sale. At Old Navy prices are much more reasonable and sales are real bargains. Good luck Mom.
