My daughter will be turning 3 in August. I'm having a tough time deciding what to do for her birthday party. I think I would prefer not to have it at home. But, she's still too young fo some things. Any ideas or experience would be welcome!

Thank you,
B.

We had our daughter's last birthday party at our local library. Freeman Library in Clear Lake has a wonderful children's room that you can use as long as it's not reserved for something. The great thing is, this is free! You provide the food and decorations but you get a huge room to use. Also, the kids loved checking out books after the party was over. My daughter loved it. You could even make it a "donate to the library party" if you want, where every child donates a book in your child's name. Good luck!

She won't remember what you do. :-) I'd opt for the McDonalds party where they can play in the play area. My 2 1/2 yo loves playing there. She really is too young to really enjoy all that Chuck E Cheese has to offer and places like it. Save your time and money and opt for something easier for now. There will be MANY more opportunities for her to enjoy the bigger parties!

Happy Birthday!!

My son will be 3 in July and he loves Chuck E Cheese. We did his 2nd b-day there and take him periodically. Some games are age appropriate and some aren't, but kids know what they like.

I did a party at ToysRUs for my 3 year old...they have theme parties (six different ones)...I did Thomas the Train. They provide everything for you...invitations, party room, decorations, pizza, drinks, cake, goodie bags, balloons, Geffory the giraffe visits, activities, etc etc...you get two girls who run the party. All for $11.00 a child...minimum 12 kids...it was so worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!
