my question is what isnt there to do here!!!!!!
My little brother 29 yrs old is moving to Denver this weekend. His work is transferring him there. He is single, no children (but wants them once he is married) and ready to start a new life. I told him to get involved with some recreational sprots and join a church that has a great singles group.
So here is the question. Do any of you momma know any great fun things to do while in Denver? Lil Bro is very positive, live life to the fullest, doesn't like to deal with negative. Suggest any good churches or Rec Centers.
Just trying to give him some information... Thanks for your comments. Gonna miss him.

Oh my gosh--he will love it here!!!!! I lived here for 12 years, had to move for a job for 6 years and just came back and I love it! The people here are so nice. There is a TON to do. Denver is one of the best places to live for single people.
What kind of stuff does he like. Everything out here is very outdoorsy. What area is he moving too? If he is in Denver it is awesome just to walk 16th mall. There is a ton of stuff in Downtown Denver, theaters, ballpark, Broncos games etc. The moutains are close, so there is hiking. biking, river rafting etc. Estes Park was the first place we went when we got back here. Boulder is awesome too--Pearl street, lots of shops/restaurants, Boulder creek is beautiful. What a perfect weekend to move too, with all the trees starting to change colors.
Any other questions? Feel free to ask--Im sure he will enjoy it!
He can check out meetup.com and type in his interests - it may help him find people that share the same interests and help him make connections. I hope he has a great time :)
Depends on where exactly in the Denver area he is moving. There is TONS to do in the Denver Metro area.
The zoo actually does some really awesome events, downtown life has a little bit of everything, and not just the drinking and smoozing either. Then of course you have the mountains(hiking, skiing, Garden of the Gods...), and the Boulder area. There is ALWAYS some sort of event going on. Denver Post is a good way (both online and paper) to get information from.
Sorry don't know about churches and almost every suburb has it's own rec centers.
I lived 30 miles north of Denver for five years...
Denver is so big that it's difficult to answer your question. The answers would depend what area of the city he will live in. Once he gets there and moves in, he needs to ask his neighbors. There are good churches and recreational facilities all over the place. We have children and grandchildren in the greater Denver area.
Have you thought of getting Skype so you can see one another when you're communicating? It's great for people who live across the country from one another!
He'll love it! My SIL lived in Denver for two years and loved every second of it- and she's very shy and reserved.
The best thing he can really do is make himself try something or someplace new each week. When I moved to NY from VA that's what got me through the first couple of months. It was like an adventure. I eventually met people through work and met their friends who introduced me to my husband.
He'll be fine- and make sure to go visit!
I have a feeling that if he's a scoial guy, he will meet people very quickly. There is a LOT to do in the Denver area and is a great place to live and work. Don't worry about him. He'll be fine!
