I bought my daughter a learning leapster, handheld game, its that one that comes in pink or green.
My ? is does anyone else have these for thier kids and does it work properly? I seen some reviews after I bought it on a website that says after about 6 months to a year the screen goes blank and the toy is junk after that!!
I just spent 60.00 and I'm thinking about taking it back!
Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, I decided I am going to keep it. Try to make sure she takes good care of it, supervise her, ect...And even if it does only last a year, as much fun as the other children have had with thiers, I think it is worth the money!!
Thank-you all for your advice and Happy Holidays!!

If you don't feel comfortable with the product take it back. I reccomend the leappad products. My daughter has the leappad book it's blue. The sensors went out in it about 1 1/2 after she got it. We called the company and they replaced it 100% no charge to us for shipping the old one back. We had the new product in our hands within 2 days. Go with your gut feeling that is usually the best.

Hi M.,

My daughter has had her leap pad for about 3-4 years. She loves it. We had some problems early on with it but solved them by changing from batteries to the wall plug-in docking adapter. I think it helped in two ways. First it charges the leapster with more power than batteries and second because it is a docking station you can put in a safe spot and have the kids return it to the dock for charging after using it. This helps keep it safe and recharge for the next use all in one shot. It is such a fun and educational toy that I haven't had any trouble getting my daughter to return it to the dock after use. Hope this helps!

I've had Leapfrog products for four years now, and never once have they let me down. If the screen goes blank, it's probably due to the kids mistreating their toys. I taught my son to take good care of his things, and we've never had a single problem with anything. I LOVE Leapfrog toys, they're wonderful, and I can't suggest them enough. :) I hope your daughter enjoys it, my son sure does!

We have 2 leapsters, one is about 3 years old, the other about 1.5 and both have not had any problems.
