Try hairspray on the ink stain.
hello there that is a wonderful memorie of your granddaughter i am so sorry for your lost as far the stain try densture alchol not rubbing it take out perminet marker well good luck
Try hairspray to see if that works.
If hairspray doesn't work, try shout. Put a folded paper towel under the stain (face side of stain on the paper) spray the back of the stain and rub. Continue doing this and changing the paper towel often. I used this method on pair of dress when an ink pen went through the washer and dryer. This stain was really set in.
I've heard that rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover are supposed to work. Also, I visited lifestorynet and just want to express my sympathy to you and your family-esp. Nichole.
I have never tried it, but I have heard that hairspray gets ink out of clothes.
I don't have any advice on the laundry thing. But I have to comment on the loving story of Triana. What a beautiful baby. You can feel how your families love surrounded your dtr during this time. I'm sure this was the gift this baby brought to your dtr. She is truly blessed! Please tell your dtr that family isn't always related and that her "extended family" will keep her close in prayer.

Hairspray takes ink out.
Hairspray will take ink out of anything. just spray and rub.It will even take out perment ink on wood, clothes, walls, ect.
Hairspray!!! Soak it good with hairspray and wash it good. If it needs it, do it a second time. When I was in school it was "cool" to draw on your jeans and my mom used this to get the ink out all the time! Good luck!
Hi T.~
Hairspray is my vote, too...any kind will do. Its the alcohol that dissolves the ink so if you don't have hairspray, use rubbing alcohol and then toss it into the washer on cold. Good luck...and make sure he thanks you for saving his shirt twice! Dinner? Jewelry? lol

Use a non-aerosol hairspray on the ink spot....something in the hairspray (probably the alcohol) dissolves the ink. Just spray it on and let it sit....you might need more than one application.
Hairspray usually gets ink out. I was always told to use hairspray in a can. Can't say I have tried it from the plastic bottle. Good luck :)
Rubbing alcohol works wonders on all kinds of inks. (Especially PERMANENT ink.) Just put a little on a cotton swab and blot at the ink. It helps to have a white-ish cloth to blot with, keep putting more alcohol on it & blot, don't rub. Good luck!
(Hairspray used to have alcohol in it, that's why they used to say spray it with hairspray. But most of today's hairsprays don't have alcohol - it's too drying.)

hairspray!!! spray it on and dab with rag, repeat over and over until its gone. its amazing how much ink comes out onto the rag. i've done this many times on lots of fabrics and have always been successful.
