My son took to the latex with the playtex dropin bottles. I think he likes the latex because they squish better like a breast would.
Is one better than the other? I've been trying everything to get my 10-week old daughter to take a bottle?
Thanks in advance,
D.

I used both, sort of at random. Neither of my girls seemed to have a clear preference. Your baby might not want to take the bottle from YOU - you might find that she'll take them from daddy if you leave the house (i.e. if she knows the bottle is the ONLY way she'll get to eat). That's what worked for us. Once we got her to understand that the bottle could provide a meal as easily as mommy could, she would have taken any bottle under the sun! I hope you find something that works!
Hi D.,
Some babies like the taste of silicone more than latex. I suggest getting the Adiri Nurser Bottle. Its just like the breast and most babies will take it. You can find it online only I think. Good luck to you!~

My son did NOT want to take a bottle! He finaly took the latex platex nipples witht he dropins. For all the fancy new stuff out there, it seems like the old fashioned latex was best for us. Go figure.
Latex is much softer than the silicon nipples and has a more skin like feel (the silicon nipples can be kind of slick plastic feeling I think).
The only warning. Unlike silicon, latex can't be put through the dishwasher or re-boiled, so they need to be replaced more often and washed by hand.

PS Try pumping into the bottle and giving it to her immediately while its still all warm and mamaish. That's how I finally convinced my son it was worth trying.
