You need to think about who's all attending. You may want to put out a platter for the adults and for the kids maybe do something like chicken fingers or making mini pizzas and add the toppings the kids like. You can use english muffins or refrigerated biscuits. Get some ideas on the web or check your local library for kids party ideas. Good Luck!

Who is going to be attending? What is your Sons favorite? Pizza is easy, you can even do a pizza party where everyone makes their own! My daughter LOVES making pizza! For her 3rd bithday we did a make your own, taco, nachos, tostada bar... it worked well for us, she loves tacos!

The other option is cake and ice cream... that really is enough :)

First you need to determine….

How many children and adults?
What time of the day?
Is there a theme?

Once you know these things you can work on a menu.

Things like pizza or hot dogs are good.

Maybe do a picnic if you don’t have a lot of children. And the kids can eat on blankets in the yard. You can make lunches in brown bags and include all the things they need. Some suggestions are: sandwich, juice box, apple wedges, crackers, string cheese, watermelon, fruit snacks.

Make all the bags up early and then put the child's name on a bag. So when it's time to eat all you have to do is hand them out.

Keep it simple and fun.

Because of allergies, picky kids and the sheer mess of the whole thing, we always timed parties specifically to avoid meal times. That way we served cake, ice cream and juice to the kids, coffee and tea (and cake if they wanted it) to the adults, and made them all go home long before dinner.

We also always limited birthday parties to under 90 minutes.

Hi we always do a deli plate where they make there own sandwiches. Offer turkey, salamy, roast beef and anything else you like with cheese and mayo, mustard and different types of bread. And some potatoe salad and bean salad. We get our from Jullian Bros Bakery but you can pick up a tray at most grocery stores. Then for drinks we get a punch and some pop for the adults.

It seems to make everyone happy!

God Bless
