Has anyone had this done and what did you think of the results? I would like to have it done on upper lip. I have dark hair and olive complexion. As I get older the hair on my face is getting more and more noticeable. Would just like some opinions since I know it is expensive but I am saving up for it. Any suggestions on where to go would be great.

What can I do next?

Uptown Dermatology and Skin Spa would be a great place to go. They would do it the safe way, and they are professionals, not some dodgy cheap practitioners.

I had laser treatment for my rosacea and I have to say, it hurt. Like someone kept snapping rubber bands in my face at very close range. Over and over and over again!! But it didn't last too long.

They told me that dark hair is the easiest to remove. remember tho that when you hit premenopause you might start getting more. It only took 4 treatments to get rid of most of mine. some on my upper lip but most under my chin. I say most because any hairs that are light or grey will not be affected by the light. and they told me that i would prob need touchups every couple of years. but it was waaay worth every penny!!! My daughter has had her upper lip, chin, under arms and now is working on her legs (she is naturally quite hairy as i am not) She would say go for it!

I too have dark facial hair. I started electrolysis over 20 years ago then started laser when that came about. It is well worth the money. I always told my lady that she was cheaper than a psychologist would be! After the laser I went more infrequently~ every 6 months or so. with the electrolysis about every 3 months, although the hair had become less dark, coarse, and just less! Every hormone change I went thru there was an increase in hair again (after pregnancy, breastfeeding, on/off birth control, hormones for period issues). I haven't been in over a year just because my lady got out of it about the same time i found out I was pregnant, but after that many years what is there is mostly noticeable to me and manageable with scissors every few weeks. I will have my daughters do it, even my baby i can see the dark hair on her upper lip and my 11 year old is very noticeable! Check to see if they have to be licensed in your area. then yes, go!

I highly recommend it! I did it and now want to do more. I would expect to pay around $100 per treatment for your lip and you'll probably need to do it about 4 times, but spread out over a few years. I had my chin done and am so thankful! I've been thinking about doing my bikinin area as well but not sure I can do now that I am preggers. There is a laser treatment center in EP that is good or I was going to try the one at Arbor Lakes.
