Does you laptop's battery come anywhere close to lasting as long as they said it would?
Oh yeah, I.totally forgot about the recommended settings...I'm sure I am not set at them anymore.
I finally bought a router and am not real happy with a 2 1/2 hour battery life when I unhook it. I wondered if keeping the battery in the machine and keeping it plugged in helped diminsh it a bit. In the beginning I did keep the battery unhooked but somewhere along the way I just left it in because people told me it didn't matter.
Nope... NOT at all. I love my laptop, we all have Dell's but we get new batteries about once every 2 yrs.
Hubby's was just replaced for free because he is still under warranty. I had 3 replaced for free and daughter had 2 replaced for free when we were under warranty.
They run around $160 each.

LOL no. My current machine is about a year old and it's not too bad, but it's not hours and hours like they say.
Maybe if it's in sleep mode! Not usually!
My MacBook Pro is about a year and a half old; the battery lasts at least 3 or 4 hours.
My MacBook is 3 years old and I still get about 3 hours of battery out of it as long as I'm not watching video and it is on normal settings. My husband has 2 PC laptops, and the battery life on them is terrible.
