When my kids were 15 months old, I put them in a twin bed with those mattress rails. They slept great and there was absolutely no transition involved. They continued sleeping just like they did in their crib.
Ladies, I am looking for crib rail covers for my 15 mos. old. We have the gummi-rail teether cover; however, she knows how to pull it off with her teeth. She then proceeds to bite the crib, resulting in danger to her safety. We also want to keep the crib nice.
I would love to hear what works for other moms! Thanks in advance!

Could you cover the rail in something "else". I was thinking gause, but that won't work b/c she could get wrapped up in it if she gets it off. I'm thinking something textured that she might not like the feel of...what about putting a bunch of those "Link a Doos" links on there. They are a toy and Sassy has some that are textured.
Maybe you could get small tie wraps from Lowe's and use them to keep it on they are made of plastic and won't hurt her or the crib they pull tight to size and the cut the extra off
Good luck
This may sound kind of odd but what about putting the "nail polish" that is suggested for nail bitters UNDER the plastic cover. Let her take it off once or twice and decide on her own that she doesnt want to bite or chew on the crib at all! I wouldnt put it on the plastic part as its there to "chew on". Just underneath so it there when she takes it off. Dont let her see you put it on either. I cant think of anything else that wouldnt hurt her. I think the ties could work but if you left the tail on she could poke her eye, ear anything really. And and strings you use to tie could get undone and thats very bad.
Good luck
