Yes, I have life insurance. IT covers a lot more than funeral expenses. It's purpose it to provide the kids with a trust should both my husband and I die together. If only I should die, there's enough there to pay off the house, and salary an au pair for the children.

Without a doubt, life insurance is one of the most important things you can do for your family! The financial people suggest term life only. Don't fall for the whole life or return of premium stuff. Straight term life for a 20 or 30 year term.
You should also purchase about ten times your income.
The goal is for your spouse or for you to be able to sustain yourself if your spouse should pass away. You also want your children to be taken care of.

Check out Dave Ramsey's website or Clark Howard to learn more about term life insurance.

We both have life insurance. In fact my husbands life insurance will pay off our house, both cars, put our son through school and I will have enough to live on for a few years. Mine isn't near as good but I also don't work so I am not the major bread winner in our family. My husband wants us to be taken care of if something were to happen to us. He doesn't want me to have to move back to my parents in the event of his death. He wants me to be able to have options and not be stuck with a bunch of debt!

Good Luck
