After not pumping and breasfeeding for over 4 months, i was shocked to discover i am oozing milk again. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on,Has this happened to anyone else. I actually stopped breast feeding 4 months ago because i dried up, and was honestly a little tired of trying to make a go of it.

I did take a pregnancy test, well 3 actually and they all say Not Pregnant...
I did get in with a Dr, but not till the 18th, any advice? I am worried what is going on with my body, not to mention my little man is once again interested in feeding and i dare not let him suckle. Thanks for your help and or advice. W.

What can I do next?

It's nota big deal everyone I know that has breastfeed has had this problem including myself after a year and a half I could still squeeze a little bit of milk out my friends youngest is seven and she can still squeeze milk out I know at least 7 people that have had this happen so I wouldn't worry about as long as your not producing large amount of milk.

I stopped nursing my son when he was 19 months old. He is now four and I still get the sensation like i am still producing milk and every now and again I'll leak a little milk.
I had asked my gyn last year about it and she said that it sometimes happens-she said when her son graduated high school she sprang a leak (her words) lol
She said to only worry if it's a lot.
Four months though-I wouldn't worry about it-it takes time for your body to readjust.

my girlfriend had a similar issue and it was her prolactin was elevated. I believe it is a hormone. You can look it up online and see if you have some of the other symptoms. I am not real sure what it is but that was her problem with still producing milk.

Try not to worry about it at this point. After I stopped breastfeeding my son, I was still producing some milk (not much, but some so that it would ooze every now and then) over a year after he was done. I would still ask the doctor just to make sure that everything is all right. But I did meet quite a few different women whose body still produced a minimal amount of milk long after they stopped breastfeeding. Sometimes, different hormonal changes in your body can increase this and you may leak a little. As I said, I don't think it is anything for you to be concerned about. However, it is always a good idea to double check with your doctor just to be sure.
