I was just wondering what other moms do for labeling bottles, clothes, socks, paci's, ect. for daycare. My little one is starting daycare in a few weeks and I have found some labels you can purchase online but for the bottle you have to put the contents, date, and my babys name- I really don't want to use masking tape. I know there are so creative moms out there with other ideas. Please help...

Congratulations on your new baby girl!!

For bottles, I bought a Brothers label maker (and some pretty metallic tape!) and made permanent bottle labels with first name and last initial for both bottles and lids. Our daycare did not require content and date but you could easily make a permanent label for content. Date - maybe one of those old fashioned grease pencils? The Brothers labels stayed on even in the sterilizer and through washing time after time.

Binkies I tried really hard to label with a blue ink pen, but it did keep coming off. Our daycare was good about knowing which one went with which kid after the first couple of days.

Clothes I put their first name and last initial on the BACK of the size tag. Usually an ink pen or a sharpie will do. I did this for blankets and sheets too.

Good luck and enjoy that baby!

I bought Mabels Labels online and love them. I bought the pkg that comes with iron on labels for blankets and jackets, shoe labels (they go inside the shoe) and bottle labels. They stay on through years of dishwashing and laundering www.mabel.ca.com 1-866-30-mabel

I love the mabel labels they are great. I bought the school pack for my kids and they work on everything. The labels even stay on in the dishwasher and they still look good as new.
I have a friend that sells them and she has been using them for along time to.

M.,

I am a assistant director at a large childcare center in keller. We have had a ton of babies and the parents always ask us this question. In our opinion www.inchbug.com has the best for bottles. (like the previous mom said) they are hug, engraved plastic rubber bands!

Check them out. They will last the 12 months your child is on bottles.

Check out www.inchbug.com for baby bottle labels - they are like a stretchy plastic/rubber ring that goes around your baby's bottle (or sippy cup) - they don't come off, and the baby's name is manufactured into the product, so it will never wear off.
