Yes - the Ridgewood Recreation Center has an outdoor water park that is so much fun. It is located on Fisher Road - very close to White Rock lake. bring a picnic lunch as they have picnic tables which are covered.
Can you recommend any fun indoor playgrounds for rainy or too hot days? We live near down town, the closer the better :)

Welcome to Texas! Only a slight culture shock. LOL I came here from Orange County in 1982.
There is an indoor bounce house place at I30 & Beltline in Garland/Mesquite. It's a flat rate for kids to jump & they have tables to sit & eat. It just opened in March so everything is 'new' & clean. It's called 'Joy in Jumping' ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. www.joyinjumping.com.
Have fun
Oh & also there is an indoor waterpark in grapevine.
Many malls have good play areas and most are getting better all of the time. I live north of you so the malls that we go to are not close for you, like Stonebriar in Frisco or Willowbend in Plano. There are also places that are similar to Chuck E Cheese but better. Check them out and find out which ones are good for your child's age because some are more suited for older kids with video games and stuff. Some near me are Amazing Jake's (Plano), Gatti Town (Frisco), Animal House (McKinney), Pump it Up Jr. (Plano).
You can always go to the malls and play in their soft play areas. The Galleria has a really fun one on the 3rd level near Nordstrom, Valley View mall has one, Stonebriar Mall in Frisco has a new one that is really cute, I think Colin Creek in Plano has one too. None are super close to downtown though.
There are some churches that have indoor playgrounds. Highland Park UMC has one across the street from the church and Fellowship Bible Church has one. McDonald's at Lover's and Inwood has a good one too.
