I am five months pregnant with my second child and does not feel my baby moving. Should I be worried or is this some kind of phase that will pass soon? Im 21 weeks pregnant.

What can I do next?

My doctor told me when that was happends is to get a glass with orange juice go in to a quiet room settle down and drink it... If the baby starts to move shortly after you finishe your juice your fine if not try to go to the doctor when ever you can get in.

well of course contact your doctor, but I do remember that feeling also with one of my children. He was large and apparently enjoying where he was and didn't feel like doing anything.Sometimes they are moving ever so slightly and we think we aren't feeling it. Not all pregnancies are the same so these things can be worrisome. When is your next doctor visit? Call and tell them, but it is probably just a very cozy baby.

I think 5 months is still really early to feel the baby moving. If you have been to regular checkups and everything is ok I wouldnt worry about it but if it will help ease your mind then its worth a call to the nurse.

With my first child I did not feel any movement until about week 22. During my second pregnancy, I felt them around week 21. It might just be a little early.

Have you felt the baby move before but now you do not feel anything? Are you doing kick counts (you probably already know this, so sorry if I'm stating the obvious)? Sit or lie quietly and count the kicks within a 60-minute time period. You should get at least 12. Sometimes the baby may be asleep, so you may wish to check again.

Finally, if you need some peace of mind give your OB's office a call. They are there to help you and they get this sort of question all the time. Best wishes!

I didn't feel too much movement from my son until I was about 25 weeks along. It felt like butterflies in my stomach and it was only when I was sitting. Consult your doctor if you are really concerned though.

Make yourself a tall glass of ice water. Super, super cold. Chug it down as fast as you can (don't sip). That should get baby jumping around. If that doesn't work, call your OB.
