Does anyone know of restaurants where kids can eat free, or at a discounted rate? im looking for restaurants to take my kids without having to pay a fortune for food that they don't eat much of anyway. they eat enough where they can't just eat off my plate anymore, but not enough to pay more than $5 dollars for a kids meal. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them! Thanks!
El Charro has free kids meals on Sundays. There's one in Fraser at 14/Garfield, Macomb Twp at 21/Card and St. Clair Shores at 9/Harper.
Buffalo Wild Wings has 1/2 off kids meals on Sundays too.
monday and tuesday at National Coney Island, after 4pm. Also, i think at CiCi's Pizza sometimes, or always.

At IHOP when you order an adult entree you get a free kid's meal. However if you have a coupon that come periodically in the coupon sections of the Sunday paper you can get buy one entree get one free with the purchase of two full size beverages. So that is a way to go if you only have one child. This means that you pay for one adult entree and get one free then you pay for the child's meal. Hope this helps.
We always go to Rosie O Grady's in chesterfield on wednesday nights. Kids eats free with an adult purchase of 9. 95 or more. They have some fun characters there for the kids too. (Like Dora and Diego)
I think Red Robin has the best kids menu for a chain restaurant. They give them LOTS of choices (mix & match entrees and multiple sides) and they get PLENTY for $5. If you have light eaters, two of them could probably split a kids meal and have enough. It's the only kids menu we've found that offers salad as an option. I have a little salad eater and we have to order her an adult side salad any place else.

Kids used to eat free on Sundays at East Side Marios; I think they still do. However, ALL the restaurants have kids menus that are under 5 dollars including Olive Garden, Chili's, etc. Seriously,when my kids were little (and qualified for the kids menu which is under 10 or 12 depending on the restaurant) I used to find it somewhat puzzling why people felt compelled to go to a fast food restaurant, when in reality the other restaurants offered good deals, some as good as a fast food place. Also, some restaurants will let people over 12 order off the kids menu as well.
Bastone's in Royal Oak has wonderful food and kids eat free on Sundays!
At Texas Roadhouse, kids eat free on Mondays. You have to purchase one adult meal and you get one free kids meal. Plus if you go between 6-8pm they get to pick a prize from a toy chest.

Kids eat free at Baja Fresh after 5PM. We went last night! It was a nice change from a night out including chicken nuggets :)
Bastone in Royal Oak on Sundays (like someone said below) - this is awesome if you're looking for a really good meal. Adult meals can tend to be on the more expensive side (some upwards of $20) but they also do have some salads for less and also sandwiches and less expensive (but still very tastey) food.
Dennys kids eat free on Thursday. Logans has 2.99 kids meals Monday-Thursday. Thats all I can think of, we dont go out very often.
Big Boy Breakfast Buffet is free for 5 and under (when parent buys one). I have recently just taken the kids out for this breakfast buffet instead of doing a night out to dinner and found that we all really enjoy this. They are much better behaved (not tired since it is first thing in the day) and they love being able to make their choices. And, I love that they can have fruit and eggs and good stuff to eat too and they still think it is great. I believe Cici's pizza buffet is also free for kids. I can't think off hand where the other free ones are but I have seen signs for certain nights that are kids eat free. I will make sure to message you when I see something. I hope there are some more good answers to this. It would be nice to have a list going.

Cheli's in Clinton Township kids eat free on Sunday when the adult spends $10 also, just an FYI that Mon-Thurs they offer a great burger, fries and a brew for $5...
