I would like to ask my husband one of these for Christmas, but they are pricey!! I think the one I was looking at is $169.99. I LOVE coffee and it would be great to not stop at WaWa every morning for coffee. Plus I love that this thing does hot chocoloate too. The kids love it and it looks like they can do it themselves. We have one in our office at work, but I work on the client site and of course we do not have one here. And how much are the cups to refill??
(WaWa is a gas station...but also a food mart type of place. They have made to order food, fresh salads, fruits, sodas, slushi's, chips, etc. I was so anti-gas station places when I moved to the "south" - I'm mainly from the NE - but WaWa is my new addiction. My kids too. It's their Sunday morning treat!)
I am on the fence about getting one, too.
While you are at it also compare to Senseo and Tassimo... (I am leaning towars Tassimo, but Senseo has both the cheapest machine and the lest expensive pads)...

Oh sister! :) I LOVE mine. I was spending $50 a month (or more) at Starbucks each morning and realized I had to stop the insanity. LOL I've had mine for a year now and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
You can get large packs of KCups off Amazon for around $24 a pack (and a pack has like 80 KCups). If you join their "Prime" membership thingy you get free 2-day shipping too! Nice!
Also they make the "My KCup" filter. Its a small basket that fits where a KCup would go and you can put in your own ground coffee.
Just note - you do have to "descale" them about once a month by running a solution of vinegar water through it (the manual tells you how to do this specifically). Otherwise the "serving sizes" start to be off. But if do care for it properly you will love it!
I bought one for my mother and she LOVES it. It makes hot chocolate, tea, even hot apple cider with K-cups. If you order them through the manufacturer's site, I think you can order 3 boxes and get 2 free. It's a bit pricey, but it seems worth it. Simple to make coffee in the morning, different size cups, and easy to clean.

I love my Senseo. We bought reusable pods (plastic) off of Amazon (some of the reviews said they were hard to use but I strongly disagree) and use our own espresso (we drink mostly Vietnamese coffee). You have to grind the coffee finer than drip for it to work right, or the coffee is bland. So, either grind your own at the store, as you use it, or buy an espresso grind. We also found it makes a great cup of tea, just use loose tea in the pod or a tea bag. We use it all the time, and it's a simple design easy to maintain and clean.
I don't know much about the price, I won mine on their web site, they are always running specials and give-aways. All I had to pay was the $15 shipping charge.
my sil does not use hers very often she tends to use the regular coffee maker more. She does use it a little more now that she has a reusable filter for the keurig. She said buying the cups was $ and not worth it.
We ADORE ours! My husband wasted so much coffee, and this apportions it out. You'll recoup your money in no time if you're stopping at a coffee shop every morning. Sit down and multiply how much $$ you're spending a month at the coffee shop and you'll see this is well worth it. We get our supplies for it from Costco, and they have really good deals. Not only can you also do hot chocolate but hot tea as well! My husband hates flavored coffees, but I love them, and you can get all sorts of flavored coffees, regular coffees, teas, hot chocolate -it's great!
My MIL had one that broke, and she didn't keep any info on hers -never filled out the warranty card, no receipt, etc. Keurig took it back though (their only condition was to send the broken machine back to them) and sent her a brand new one, so they have good customer service.
I love love LOVE my Keurig maker! And the cost isn't really an issue, because you consider how much you are throwing away with an undrank (undrunk?) pot of coffee or going to Starbucks, and they pretty much equal out.
And even though it says that the K-cups are single use, if I want a big cup of coffee, I use the same one twice. When the first time is done brewing, you just open the top and close it right back up and press brew again. You don't have to worry about grounds in your coffee because since you aren't removing the cup, it still uses the same hole that is already punched. This way you can have a 20 oz cup of coffee using just one K-cup.

I got one for my sister for Christmas last year. She is a single mom and loves it. I would love to have one (just because it is so cool looking), but I thought it would be a waste in my house. My hubby and I are huge coffee drinkers and to me it just a hassle to make one cup at a time. Plus, whenever I have company over...I usually make a huge pot (or two). If you don't make your own coffee now because it is a waste of time for you to make it for only one cup, then I would say YES, get it!
Wow that is way too much! I got mine last Christmas for 100.00 It has a small and medium cup size and I love it!. If you want 1 look for sales, since Christmas is right around the corner you can find a good deal.
We have a Keurig mini (around $80) and LOVE it. We were pouring a half pot or more of coffee out every day because we just weren't drinking it. Hubby and I are both (typically) one cup/day drinkers at home, so the Keurig saves us money big time. There are several different models at different prices, so do some homework to find one that fits your needs. The K cups can be a little expensive, but you can find deals on them too. Bed Bath and Beyond is a good place to buy them because you can use the 20% off coupons.
What is WaWA? And I wonder if you can buy Fair Trade Coffee and cocoas? Anyone know?

We have one at the office - it does make good coffee. From what I can see there are a couple of cons: cost, lots of packaging to add to the garbage stream (I'm not overly "green" but I try to minimize waste) and you can't really customiaze how strong or weak one particular cup of coffee is going to be. The pros of course, is that if you are now pouring pots of coffee down the drain you're wasting lots of coffee now - and making a cup of coffee as needed is clearly less wasteful.
I love Keurigs - at other peoples houses LOL! My SIL gave me her old one, I used it for about 2 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I love having a fresh cup of coffee pretty much instantly. But I thought it was really expensive for the K cups. And, I felt bad about all of the waste I was creating. I actually posted a question here about it too. Some ladies said that there is an insert you can buy to put your own coffee grounds in instead of the K cups. To me, it was just as easy to make regular coffee.
I am not a fan of mine. We have the one that retails for $169.99, and it has been a pain in the butt. It worked great for the first 6 months or so, but now I go to brew and nothing happens! So, I wait until the "waiting to brew" goes away, turn it off, turn it back on, and go through the process again only to get 2 cups worth of coffee! The first time this happened, coffee was everywhere, and that's not good when there's a toddler in the house! The coffee is supposed to be ready in about 30 seconds, but when this happens (it's very sporadic) it takes as long as 5 minutes, and when I have to get ready for work and get a tired, cranky toddler up at 6am to go to daycare, I don't have the extra 5 minutes to wait and see if the coffee pot is going to work so I can catch the extra if it doesn't.
