Keep Getting Sick!

I was wondering if anyone has the same experience as I do. I went through this last Fall, Winter and here I go again! I am sick about every 2-3 weeks! I seem to catch anything and everything that comes by. 1 1/2 weeks ago I was put on antibiotics, got better pretty fast. Now 7 days later I'm very sick again. My daughter has the cough I have (she had it first) but seems to feel fine. I feel awful. I'm pretty healthy, workout, eat okay, etc. Could there be something else underlying that keeps allowing me to get sick?

What can I do next?

Hi S.! I know exactly what you're going through! My son and I went through the exact same thing last Fall, Winter and Spring! It was horrible. We kept getting one sinus infection after another. Our doctors said that it was most likely from our allergies... But, we were constantly sick and on antibiotics. Anyway, I started taking this awesome supplement called "Get Well Soon" and also drinking Detox Tea, and after that, I didn't get sick again! Basically, you just take the Get Well Soon supplements for two weeks on, two weeks off. It works so well! I was so impressed with these products that I actually now represent the company that sells these products. And, funny enough, I also did PR/media relations/and corporate communications for over six years before I started my new career! :) I'd love to talk to you sometime about that. :) Anyway, if you're interested, you can check out my website at: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com. Hope this helps. Believe me, I know how awful it can be to get sick constantly!
PS I also have a 2 1/2 yo son. :) His b-day is 4/30/04. How about yours?

Hi,

My son us was like that and turns out he had Mono, CMV, and cat scratch disease. We dont even own a cat! It took him a 2 full years to recover from it. In the process, he would also catch any viral and bacterial infection around. His body would work so hard to fight the mono that it couldn't resist any other infection as well.

My suggestion would be to go to your doctor and request bloodwork. It's possible there could be something that is causing your immune system to react but the only way to tell is to go to your doctor.

Hi S.
The same thing happened to me, my husband, my daughter and I. We went though that "sick/well" cycle until our new pediatrician recommend an awesome product called Juice Plus+. My 3 1/2 year old and now 1 1/2 yr old both take it..as well as my husband and I. We are the biggest fans. Feel free to call or email me if you would like more information.
I was paying a $20 co pay every other week last year, and so tired of being sick! By eating the right Whole Foods Nutrition, our immunity has been so much stronger.
Gosh, being sick takes it's toll on everyone.. Taking a whole Foods Nutrition supplement doesn't promise you won't ever get sick...but Gosh, I swear by it!

I did the same thing about two years ago. After a while I started having major tummy pains. I saw several doctors and was checked out for EVERYTHING. Finally a surgeon recomended a cat scan where they found that I had a body cavity infection! The pain was from nerve damage and I ended up having to have shots into the nerves and am still on medication to releave the pain. To get rid of it I was placed on 8 weeks of antibiotics.

Not to scare you but some people get sick from this and it is not realized unrtil to late. If this is not it, you may be just sensitive. Think about the places you have gone prior to getting sick each time to see a pattern. The store baskets are horrible - everyone should use hand sanatizer everytime they go to the store, bank, etc. The public is full of germs.

S., Try taking Arbronne regularly during the cold and flu season. This stuff works great and I have had much success taking it. It contains vitamins and amino acids specifically targeted to boost your immune system. Also make sure you get plenty of sleep. I swear this makes a huge difference in your health.

Same thing with us! I personally don't have allergies, I was tested, but my school nurse said perhaps the antibiotic isn't long enough to really rid me of whatever is making me sick. My son on the other hand seems to have allergies but he's only 14 months so we can't test him yet. He gets a virus almost every single week and sometimes a bacterial infection on top of that then we do the antibiotic thing. Let me know what others tell you! Thanks!

Hi S.,

you may want to get tested for allergies. I was getting sick all the time and after years of pain, I was tested. I was allergic to dogs, cats, trees, grasses, etc... you name it. Once that was identified we got rid of our furry friends and I strated allergy treatments and I have been healthy... knock on wood! The scary thing if you don't figure out what is causing your sickness is when you get older (this is what my doc told me) and we get sick. Our bodies may reject antibiotics cause we have been on them for so much of our life.

I also had a pastor that her baby at age 1 started to get sickly and after about 6 months the docs decided they did not know what was wrong and the child would just pass away. Well, one last attempt she took her baby to this allergist and they found the baby was allergic to milk! they stopped giving him milk and he did a 360 turn around.

Good luck!

Along with taking your multi vitamins, I suggest trying the dr brandt anti oxidant water booster. One dropperful is equivalent to 15 cups concentrated green tea, white tea, and grapeseed extract (no caffeine, sugar, artificial sweetener). It's an immune system boost and fights off free radicals from the inside out. You can find them at Nordstrom and Sephora. It's only $35 for a one month supply if you take it twice a day. - J.
