I see you already decided. I would have gone with Liberty Rose, and called her Libby.
Congratulations!

Hi everyone! Our daughter was born yesterday 24 days early) and we are considering changing her name from Katelyn Rose to Katelyn Liberty. Any thoughts on this? Do you like the middle name Liberty or have another Patriotic one to suggest?
Looks like use are going to stay with Rose! No nicknames on the playground teasing for our little girl.
I see you already decided. I would have gone with Liberty Rose, and called her Libby.
Congratulations!

I see you've already decided, but I do like Liberty! My grandfather was born on Washington's birthday, so they changed his middle name and he was George Washington Morrison. I always thought that was neat.
I see you are picking Rose, but I would have gone with Liberty. I think it's cool as a middle name, I could see your concern if it was a first name, but not as a middle name at all.
I love Liberty!!!!! Both are beautiful! Congrats on your new baby girl!
LOVE Liberty for he rmiddle name - adorable.
actually, Katelyn Liberty Rose - sounds really good! I like that. It is a strong name, but still very pretty. I know its long.. but it's a great name.
Well... there's always Americus! LOL
Congrats on your new baby.
I like Liberty for her middle name. It's unique. Congratulations! Hope everyone is doing well!
I also like Katelyn liberty rose! Julia is cute for July, or maybe a geographical name (Dakota, Georgia) or a presidential name (Kennedy, etc)?
Congrats!
I have a Kaitlyn AND a Liberty (different daughters) I love the name Liberty!
Congrats! Rose is a lovely name - one she could easily choose to use if she decides that she prefers it to Katelyn later.
Liberty, while fun and patriotic for you, may lead to some really unpleasant schoolyard teasing for her. She could always adopt Liberty as a nickname if she likes it later.
I like Katelyn Liberty - it's patriotic without being gimicky and it flows really well together.
I LOVE the idea of naming her Liberty after her holiday birthday. Is Daddy behind that idea too? When I was pg with my first child, it was due Dec 22, and if it was going to be a girl I wanted to give her the middle name Noelle, but the Daddy said absolutely not. Turned out he was a boy, so that took care of that.
Congrats on your baby!
Congratulations!
They are both wonderful names.
Katelyn Rose sounds very feminine and Liberty sounds very strong and determined.. Both would make great Presidents names..I do not think you can't go wrong with either..
Flip a coin if you cannot decide, both are winners..
Well, I would normally say Rose but since she was born yesterday, Id definitely say liberty!
Liberty is cute because of the holiday, but Rose sounds prettier.
very nice, consideing she was born on the 4th:)
Definitely "Liberty" for a girl born yesterday! But we're very patriotic, so I feel it's very fitting.
Congratulations! And enjoy your new baby!
Congratulations - how wonderful, birth of a baby on birth of the nation. I really like Liberty. I think it is pretty even if she weren't born on the 4th; the fact she was makes it that much more fitting and lovely. Good luck!
Congratulations:) I would go with Liberty. It's unique and she'll always have a big celebration for her birthday:)

I've been sitting here thinking if I would want my name to remind me of my birthday for the rest of my life and personally, I think maybe not. Just like I'd hate to be called Holly or Christina if I were born on Christmas. It's bad enough sharing your birthday with a holiday (the full attention will NEVER be on you), but to actually have it in your name (as if nobody will notice your birthdate and need to be reminded) seems a bit like overkill. I don't want to upset you if you've decided to go with Liberty - it's still a beautiful name. Just another point of view, that's all. Congratulations, BTW, on your lovely surprise (my daughter was 2 weeks early, so I kinda know how you feel)!!
OOh! I like them both! Congratulations on your new baby girl! I'm sorry, I'm no help at all!
I like Katelyn Rose...I think it flows better than Katelyn Liberty. Plus, a cute nickname would be Katie Rose. Either way, she will have a beautiful name! Congratulations :)
PLEASE go with Rose! Liberty sounds cheesy.
