I am a chemist and the stuff they are telling you are 1. a crock of ... and 2 somewhat physically impossible. I do research on water quality analysis and heres the truth, all the good, so called alkali metals that are already in your water are already in an ion form. Drinking distilled water is not good for you, it is hypotonic to your body's natural ion balance. You are buying an expensive distilled water making machine with a great placebo effect. If you still choose to buy the machine though, do so with a work of caution. Playing with your bodies natural ph system and the ion levels of your body is dangerous. A better way to spend your money would be on a healthy diet and excercise system.

People that claim to "get better" from Kangen water are only experiencing the placebo effect - in fact, Kangen water is not as healthy for your body as regular tap (the alkali minerals in our water is already ionated) as it is not absorbed properly by the body.
Drink regular water please - if you must get a filter for your tap, buy a Brita (even though they are totally unnecessary in the Bay Area).

I don't know about this particular brand, but for people who live in SF Bay Area, water filtration systems are TOTALLY unnecessary. We are blessed with some of the purest, best tasting, and healthiest water IN THE WORLD! Please don't buy into the sales pitch/scare tactics about hidden dangers in our water systems. If you do decide to go ahead with a filtration system, please ask your children's doctor about fluoride supplements. This is added to our water to protect our children's teeth and bones. Your system might filter out this very important element.

Ioniaed water is INCREDIBLE. Our family and friend have noticed a HUGE difference since drinking it. What I know about Kangen is that Well, I am not going to say it is worth 4000 dollars. This is good if you want to start a business and you have the whole town buying water from you at 3 bucks a gallon...and yes, that is a story I hear every day that chiropractors are charging this amount to use their machine. It is not even a commercial machine. This machine doesn't give the highest alkalinity since it is not the newest one. It also does not self clean.

The one that we have and love is found at www.ionways.com/alliance. We love becuase of the price, the quality of water, the self cleaning function, the warranty and the ease of use.

I hope this helps.

In response to MEG F ... I agree, I've heard reports on how good our water is in the Bay Area. But has anyone done reports on the condition of pipes and filters in sinks in the area? Maybe this is what is causing the "bad taste" that everyone claims to taste?

BTW, bottled water also has chemicals that seep into the water as it sits in warehouses until it is shipped to stores.Ever notice there is no FDA regulation on water?

Hi!

This is what I understand about Kangen water. Kangen water has been used in some Japanese hospitals for years. The machine separates the alkaline water from the acidic water. You drink the alkaline water and it helps your body return to a more natural alkaline/acidic balance, thus clearing a number of diseases that relate to having an overly acidic body. I have been told it is not for everybody, but can be very cleansing and healing for some. I have a friend who sells the machines. She is located in Windsor and her name is Connie Leigh.

Hope this helps!

All I can say is, with one million empty plastic water bottles being tossed EVERY DAY you would be contributing to the solution in a very positive way! And if there are legitimate health benefits then more power to you! Any on-site water filtration is a big bonus from where we are now. Chlorine is not good, and there are all kinds of other particulates in both bottled and tap water, so auto-filtration is great, you might want to comparison shop for filtration products. (I don't know anything about the machine you are specifically asking about, but I have read about our diets being much too acidifying in modern times, which can be dealt with by nutritional adjustments and drinking plain old filtered, clean water, herbal tea.)

I have also heard great things about it. One of my cousins swears by it, but I'd love to hear some more information on it too. Good luck with your search.

My mom had a severe arthritic condition for 5 years and could barely get out of bed some days. She was prescribed prednesone among other medications. A year ago she heard about Kangen water. She tried it out for a month from someone who had a machine and ended up purchasing her own after noticing a big improvement in how she was feeling. She is now free of the medications and able to do activities that she hasn't been able to do for several years. She is a firm believer in the water and has been sharing it with her friends, free of charge, who have various ailments. Although she can sell the machine, she never places pressure on anyone to buy the machine. There is a detox period (length is different for everyone) where many people feel sick at first. My husband, kids and I all drink it when we're at her house and don't notice any difference in taste from normal water. The one thing I've learned is that dosage and consistency are key. I don't know if there are different models of the machine, however, her machine self cleans.

I don't know much about kangen water, but we do use a filter. I know that as much as 80% of prescription drugs are passed back into the water. They are not all cleaned out. We think it is better to filter. I purchsed one from www.thewellnessfilter.com
We love it. My children even noticed how it made their skin feel at age 4. There is nothing to do once installed. Also this filter does enhance the water with minerals. There are many properties of this water. Anyway, take a look and compare.
