We have Kaiser and are moving to the Los Gatos area about six months before my due date. From my research it looks like there are three Kaiser hospitals in this area, Santa Clara, Santa Theresa, and Redwood City. Wondering what people's experience was at each of these hospitals? Any advice or warnings about any of these hospitals? We are moving from Davis and have been happy with Kaiser thus far. Any recommendations on OBs?

What can I do next?

Hi! When I had my daughter at Kaiser in 2007, we were at the Redwood City location. I really liked it there. They were friendly and very helpful. As for OB's I can't remember the name of the one I had when I was there. But they are a really good hospital and I would recommend the Redwood City. Good luck on the move and hospital!!

I like the Santa Clara Kaiser and LOVE my OB, Dr. Rincon, she's fabulous! I had Dr. Wong for many years, but didn't really care for him after I had a difficult delivery with my first son, and he wouldn't really discuss options for my second. So I switched.
I know people who have had births at all 3 locations and have all been happy with their experience. As you know, Kaiser is what you make of it.

Good Luck :)

I was born at and gave birth at the Santa Teresa Kaiser. Love my OB/GYN, N.P. Cynthia Liu. Santa Clara is newer with state of the art facilities. They have a more expansive chemo treatment center that I have visited for hematology issues. My doctors between hospitals collaborated well. I would check out kp.org and chose based on doctors you like. Good luck and welcome to the neighborhood!

While I do not have experience with Kaiser, I have heard some great things about Santa Teresa and Santa Clara. I wish you luck with your move while pregnant...I know how hard it is, did it twice. Do not overdo anything and be careful. I way overdid it the second time (felt guilty for not being able to do anything and then tried too hard 8-) ).
I hope you get the answers you are looking for!

You will want to go to the Kaiser in Santa Clara. It is about a year old, so they would have the latest and greatest.

We've been very happy with the Santa Clara Kaiser.
You didn't ask about this, but I will comment that Redwood City is quite a ways from Los Gatos. I would hesitate to go there just because of the distance. Depending on where you are in Los Gatos, you may find that either Santa Teresa or Santa Clara is enough closer that you should start with that one.
Good luck!

I had a great experience at Santa Clara homestead. It is very new and up to date technology. They were very professional and listened to what I wanted. The delivery room was large and had a shower. I had a natural birth and they did offer drugs but they respected my wishes. Santa Theresa has midwives and baths but I preferred Santa Clara. Redwood City I have never been to. Good Luck!

I delivered both of my children at Kaiser Santa Teresa, it is closer from los Gatos than the one in Santa Clara.
The hospital is pretty updated, nurses are great, love both OB and general doctor.
