I had my first baby at Sutter in Roseville, but am planning to have my next at Kaiser in Sacramento. Any recommendations on female OB GYN doctors?

What can I do next?

Dr ueyno, i think that's how you spell it. he is wonderul and i just loved him. are you going to kaiser south or kaiser moris avenue? if you can get into kaiser south, that would be my recommendation. kaiser morris avenue is horrible.. labor rooms are sooo small.. toilet in the wall... you are wheeled down a hallway to the labor room.. then you are wheeled into a recovery area seperated by curtains for everyone.. then finally into a postpartum room. i hated my experience there. good luck. :)

Had my first two babies in Kaiser South: Dr. Udoffia was EXCELLENT, very, very nice and extremely competent, and Dr. Anna Macías... she was just OK, I don't think she was heterosexual, so that sort of made me a tidbit uncomfortable. But the nurse/midwife, Carolyn Shama, was fabulous, and the lactation consultant, Cheryl (sp?) Renfree, was key to my nursing all my four children for more than 11 months each.

Hope this helps

I had both of my kids at Kaiser South and had a wonderful experience with both births. My OB is Cecelia Berg. They also have 2 midwives ( I don't remember their names) who are excellent. The only thing with Kaiser is your doctor or midwife may or may not be the one to deliver your baby...it depends on who is scheduled to work in L&D that day.
Good luck!

M. - I know you are asking for a female but I am telling you I have been with Kaiser for 20 years and I have the best OB GYN; but he is a male, he is so awesome though he is the best. I interviewed him before I would ever let him see me for the first appt over the phone and he had the best sense of humor about this. Dr. M. Seaver at Fair Oaks. I know you would be blessed if you could become his patient he is very good. You can call patient assistance (number is in the white pages) for the facility location you want and let them know you would like to know whose panel is open (female OB GYNs) if a female is the only type of doc you will be comfortable with then let them know & tell them about any anxieties you may have (if you do) and they are usually very good about giving good information/referrals(at least my experiences have been). Really hope this helps you. I know it is very difficult switching providers and not being familiar with the doctors under the new insurance. There are some great docs at Kaiser.
