Hi there! Okay-- my husband just got a cut from a supercut we found at a stripmall and it was (to say the least) really dissapointing. We're not looking for supermodel hair, but just a decent cut for a fair price (nothing over $35) Any suggestions would be appreciated - where do your husbands go? Thanks!!
I would recommend trying Hair fx at 51st & Memorial (in the Fontana Shopping Center). I personally love Melissa, but I see lots of Men come in there to get their haircut by all the stylists. Cost is $20-$25 dollars for a Men's haircut. Phone for them is ###-###-####, because you do need an appointment and their website is www.serioushair.com if you want to check that out too. I use Lou @ Salon 41 and really like it. It's at 41/Yale. She does both women and mens hair. I've never had any problems. Good luck.
Sorry about your husbands bad experience ... but please understand that not all SuperCuts are bad! I have worked at a SuperCuts located at 96th and Riverside for over a year... and have had my license for almost 12 years. I work with ladies who have all been in the hair industry for quite some time (meaning no one right out of school). We have a TON of repeat business! Please, I just ask you not judge the whole group by one store or unhappy haircut.
Obviously I do cut my husbands and our sons hair at work.
My husband goes to the Ross Edward Haircutters on 41st just east of Peoria (There is another one on either 11th or 15th somewhere around Deleware or Harvard too). These are walk-in, like a SuperCuts, but they are better than Supercuts, although the prices are similar. Ross Edward also has a more upscale salon in addition to his haircutting places.
