Hey Momma's!!
JFF... Does your husband call you a pet name? If so what is it? Like my husband calls me babe, wife, or Sexy... and some others that are goofy... but its still sweet. Like he'll say "Hey babe.... or Whats up Sexy? ... or How are you doing today wife?" lol... Very seldom does he say my name really..; ) is it cute to you or is it annoying? He even does it for my kids.... its just funny to me...

What can I do next?

Hi T.
My husband calls me "douce" (sweet one)or "cherie" (darling).
His first language is French but as we live in Ireland he speaks English the majority of the time.
I find it romantic that he refers to me in his native language lol.

He justs calls me 'mom' right now. It makes the four year olds head explode because we have the same name. He knows dad is Chris and if he hears MY name he gets all sorts of confused.

We've tried to explain our names and he insists that I'm 'just mommy!'

I put it on the back burner for now but eventually he'll understand.

Darling
or
Mon Amour
His native language.

We call each other that.
Since the 1st day we've dated.
And even still.

My Husband does not use my name either.
Don't recall when the last time is, that he called me by my name.
I don't get called by my name, at all hardly, nor of course, by my kids.
I am nameless.
LOL

"Portable Curmudgeon", in a very loving way. And no, I'm not joking. (I'm not even 5' tall, so that's where the Portable comes in!) "Feisty" also comes into play, as does "Mighty Mite"! "Babe" also.

And I've been short all my life, so I'm very comfortable with it... I just 'feel the love' when he uses these endearments.

He NEVER says Stephanie and says Steph when he refers to me unless its his buddies then it's "the boss". He calls me "hon", "mama", "babe" or "kitten" :) all terms of endearment!
He has pet names for his kiddos too. T-bug, Dude and Roo. Very rarely (unless they are in trouble :) does he use their actual name!

Yep, Payna, Egg, Midget, etc. The kid has some as well Za Bre, Mar, Squirt, etc. Its all good/fun...we call him Douglas Quaid, Johnny Nycklez, Toby Peterson, BreHill, Bre, Fatboi, etc. Its all fun especially when you been doing it for so long and you are caught off guard in front of your friends and family and everyone starts laughing!! All we have to do is fine some for our new addition to tge family.

My husband calls me babe and honey. But when he calls me by my name, I shudder because that means he's mad at me or something. So no, I don't like it when he uses my name. :)

Here is the deal in my house ...if my man says my name, I am safe ... if he uses a pet name of any sort, I am in trouble or something is wrong. It is oposite with me, if I say his name he messed up somewhere somehow.

My highschool sweetheart's dad had one for me, to this day I think he would still call me it, this is a reflection of my personality per him ... Margaret Thatcher, I still think of him (dad not bf) when I hear the name.

I recently started a new, higher paying job. My husband now teases me by calling me his 'little money-maker' (not that it's a really high paying job, just more than the pittance I was receiving at my last part-time job!). I can't help but laugh at him. I call him 'sparky', because he loves doing the Christmas lights thing like Clark Griswold.
