Juicer or VitaMix or HealthMaster

My juicer just died and I would like to replace it. What do you love or hate about your juicer? Does anyone have experience with the VitaMix or the HealthMaster? They sound great, but is a juicer just as good? I need to purchase a new blender as well. The VitaMix and/or the HealthMaster will do everything a mixer will (and more), right?

Thanks for you help!

I've heard nothing but good things about the vitamix - my kids keep asking for one (those demos at Costco!)

I have a VitaMix and am just about to start using it more. I bought it for many of the reasons previous moms have said - to eat more whole foods, incorporate more veggies into mine and my kids diets.

If anyone has any recipes or recommendations for Vitamix recipe websites - please let me know ...

I LOVE my vitamix. I make juice, ice cream, soup, chopped up veggies, pesto, flour from oats, whip cream - ETC - its does EVERYTHING and has a 7 year warranty. LOVE IT!

I have both a VitaMix and an Omega juicer. They are different things. A juicer extracts juice and leaves the fiber. I use this primarily when juice fasting for health. The VitaMixer grinds the whole fruit or vegetable, sort of like a food processor. Mine finally died after constant use over more than 10 years. I had the dry blades too and would use it to grind grains, make powdered sugar if I was out, etc. I loved mine, but again, it was more like a powerful blender or vertical food processor, and not so much like a juicer. Think smoothie rather than juice. Both are good, just depends what end product you are trying to produce.

I really love my VitaMix! I use it daily for smoothies, soups, ice cream, coffee drinks. It can make so many different things. The best part is that my kids love all the smoothies and ice cream that it makes, and they have no idea I am making these treats with purely fruit and vegetables. They eat spinach, yellow squash and carrots everyday without even knowing it.

My husband's co-worker has a vitamix, and she says it is a total pain to take apart and clean.

I have a Jack Lalange from Kohls. I've used it pretty much every day for 1.5 years. Now that I know I have a use/need for a juicer, I wish I had the higher grade Vitamix or Healthmaster so I could be getting more fiber into my son's drinks. Can you let me know what users think of their Vitamix or Healthmaster at ____@____.com? Thanks!

I love my vitamix, use it daily for protein shakes and in the winter I do a lot of soups and broths, occasionally use it for baking- mix the ingredients but it's tough to get thick batter out of the bottom so not so for that.

I love the vitamix, I've talked myself out of it 2x. It's coming again to Costco soon. This time I'm getting it. The demonstrator has made sorbet w/fruit & vegies and it's delish. My kids who won't touch a vegie ate it. you can also make homemade peanut butter, soups & so much more. I'm not sure about the juicer part.
