My daughter loves grape juice and has now starting like berry juice a lot. We only give her 100% fruit juice watered down with 3/4 water and the rest juice.

I have been giving my daughter the V8 Fruit Fusion. She loves it and in every serving of juice there is a serving of fruit and a serving of veggies- in the light juice there is only a combined total of one serving. I asked the Dr about this one and he said it is great! I do water it down and make it into 4 sippy cups a day though so I know I am getting in her water as well and she still enjoys it and they also have several different flavors- my daughters favorite is the banana strawberry and then the peach mango!

I try to watch the calories and sugar content- or where the sugar comes from in all the juices. I am not sure which ones now that I found are bad but this is the one that I found is good and it is also a good antioxidant!

Hope you find something you like for you son!

I gave both of mine a limited amount of any of the Gerber fruit juices except anything with orange or pineapples juices. Now they are 3 and almost 5 and only drink apple or orange juice and only once a day-in the morning. Oh, as the previous poster stated, you should definitely water it down. There's alot of sugar in any juice.

We give my son all kinds of juice, cut with water. We ONLY use 100% juice (no "cocktails" or "juice drinks"), and usually it's about 1/4 - 1/3 juice and the rest is water. For a real treat, we cut it with seltzer water to make "special/bubble juice".

Introduce them the same way you would a new food.

We give our son Pear juice sometimes... but he acts like an addict afterwards :) we water it down too.

We have been told to avoid acidic fruits of all kinds (oranges, lemon, etc) because of our son havign acid reflux issues, he may be more sensitive to these kinds of juices. If you don't have any issues like that, I wouldn't worry too much about avoiding any type of juice.

Though, I found we all have issues in our house with orange juice on an empty stomach.

hope this helps

we do apple, orange, grape, pomegranate and my daughter looooves the v8 fusion juices (the 100% ones...there's one with blueberry in it that i would say is her favorite). i think you're ok to give him whatever he likes. we water down my daughter's (who will be 2 next month) half juice and half water. i would say steer clear of anything that's not 100% juice.....then they're just getting a lot of sugar with none of the nutrients.

I give my 10-month-old all sorts of juices (watered down 50% and 50% of course). He loves grape juice, cherry coctail, apple, pear. The only one he's had a problem with is when my Stepgrandma watched him and gave him orange juice. "I don't understand why he's throwing up... I watered it down??!" Ummm.... because it's ORANGE juice?!? :) Good luck and have fun with him. ;)

Hi S.,

My pediatrician recommended that they eat the fruit and stick with giving them milk and water to drink. Since it isn't a perfect world, I make sure I do not buy juice made from fruit juice concentrate. I make sure it is 100% apple juice or orange/ grape, etc. Also, Trader Joe's has a great variety of good juices or you can make them juice with a juicer and add carrots and greens for added nutrition. Hope that helps!
