The BOBs are worth their wieght in gold! There really is THAT much difference :) Look for a used one on line, like on Craigslist, becasue they hold up REALLY well....

Okay, we are having another baby and spend a serious amount of time at the beach year round because of our surfing instruction business. We need a jog stroller because it's the only type of stroller that is possible to push over the sand. Not easy, but can be done. Our last child had a graco jogger travel system (the one that works with the infant car seat), but that stroller is long gone and graco doesn't make those anymore.
Our only all-in-one jogger travel system option we have seen is a Baby Trend model, but that one has horrible online reviews, so we aren't going for that one. We are looking at the Tike Tech and BOB offroad models but those are even pricier, and you have to buy an extra expensive piece to make it compatible with an infant seat.
Have thought about giving up on the infant seat compatible idea and just getting an inexpensive jog stroller with big wheels for the sand for the 6 months and over age. Anyone tried the $120-$140 In Step models? Any additional thoughts on the Tike Tech or BOB's?
Thanks!

Yes the BOB! We love ours! We take it the beach , hiking or to the store its the best!
I had an instep for about 6mos until I upgraded to my BOB. Revolution Duallie. So happy I spent the money. I love it and although my kids are 3.5 and 6 & I don't push them in it much anymore, we always take it to the beach to carry our stuff. I do push them on occasion if we are walking to school or at the zoo or Disneyland, etc.. and they need a break.
My friend has an online jogging stroller store, you can also check to see if anyone is selling a used one (go to the bottom of her page and I think it is called stroller exchange?) something like that.
www.joggermom.com At the least, you could email or call Kelly and see what she thinks. She is an expert in this field and would be happy to share her info with you to help get you the best stroller for your needs.
