I.O.
(Here's where that dreadful and annoying spam message would be most appropriate. I wonder how long before it shows up.)
I am a mom of 3 year old and soon to be wife. I recently left my dreadful job in my career field and am looking to return to work into a new line of business. Later this year I will be a 'stay at home mom' and would like to bring some income to the table to help my husband out with the finances. We are struggling a little so it is imperative that I get to work soon BUT I do not want to wind up in a terrible situation as with my previous employer. I have a BA in Fashion Merchandising but also a ton more experience in management and marketing. Are there any jobs out there for me? For a stay-at-home mommy? Someone help!

I don't know what your skill set is. What type of management, what type of marketing? What field? Are you stay home mommy now or in the future. I'm confused.
You may want to check out jobs with social media marketing companies. Some are paying people with marketing backgrounds to work from home to manage clients' social media campaigns. You would need to know about Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
I am not sure what your question is about... working from home or looking for work down the road. You have a 3 yr old and you are soon to be married. What have you been doing to provide for your 3 yr old since you've been single?? the "dreadful job?" What is this dreadful job so we don't lead you in that direction?
You do know that if you are fortunate enough to find a position that would allow you to work from home, you would be WORKING. No one will pay you to stay home and watch your child. Your child will need to be in some type of daycare for you to work from home.
Most people who do work from home do so because they have earned it from their employer by demonstrating good work ethic, self discipline and motivation. We do work from home running our company but we worked our tail off to get to this point.
Most people are not hired to work from home until they demonstrate that they are fully capable of being a self starter. You will more than likely start out in a corporate or retail environment.
Do you not like retail? Your degree is in retail and that gives you a lot of options on hours.
What are your skills, what are your interest? Are you on linkedin? LinkedIn, is a good networking site.
Good luck to you in finding what you want to do but don't set yourself up thinking you'll automatically be able to work from home. You have to earn that right unless you are running your own operation.
Welcome to mamapedia!!
So you want to work from home, eh? Well, let me tell you - you will be WORKING..that means arranging child care for your 3 year old.
If you have experience in marketing - you should be able to market yourself, right???
