When my husband told me what I am about to tell you - I thought it was something straight out of a movie, LOL!
My husband recently went to MLB spring training with his brother and a friend. They had rented a new Chevy sedan and wanted to hit the town one night. They used valet to park for dinner. Afterwards the valet asked which car and jokingly they answer "The lambourghini."
So (hahaha) everyone laughs and the valet comes back with a Toyota Tundra pick-up truck. The men exclaimed that they came in a Chevy Cruze and that was not the right vehicle.
The valet was embarrassed and said that he has never picked up the wrong vehicle, apologized, and brought out their car.
About 20 minutes later the guys are on their way to the bar and my BIL is complaining that the valet adjusted the seat wrong and that they aren't supposed to to that. My husband went to grab his wallet from the center console and asked his brother if he started smoking because there was a pack of cigs on the dash.
It was at that moment that the men realized they were driving someone else's car!
They rushed back to the restaurant in hopes of getting the right car FOR REAL this time. All of their belongings were in the trunk of their rental car, along with all of their golf clubs and flight tickets.
Thank goodness, the mess was cleared up when they arrived and they got the right car back once and for all! They were understanding with the valet, and agreed that even they did not realize it wasn't their car until later on. It was the same model, same color, and also had rental stickers on it!
Anyway, that's my husbands story!
