When I'm pregnant the hair on my legs stops growing at about 5 months. I love it! I haven't shaved in 2 months and only have some peach fuzz. What's the strangest side effect you had or have with pregnancy?

What can I do next?

I smelled so bad under my arms.. couldnt do anything to get that under control.. I could shower use all sorts of different soap, dry and deodorant and still 5 minutes later I would reek!! I tried vinegar and powder anything I could think of but nothing helped.. The hair on my legs barely grew.. was really nice not much need to shave.. which is handy when you have a big baby belly..

My sense of smell was out of control. I joked with my husband that I could go work with the K-9 unit.

All through my first trimester my boobs hurt and my nipples would get so sore and rock hard that I would have to put a heating pad or warm cloth on them to get relief.

I had worn glasses from the time I was 9. When I got pregnant at 18 and getting headaches I went in to see if I needed my eye prescription adjusted.. well my eyes went from being far sided to my vision being better than 20/20. With each baby I have had my eyes seemed to be stronger.

I couldn't sit too close to my husband, or hug or kiss him. He smelled funny to me and I didn't like it! My sister experienced the same thing with her husband when she was pregnant.
Also, I has sooooo much extra saliva it made me sick. I walked around the house with a spit cup! It was awful!

Crazy strong smell and a total aversion to all meat except chicken salad.

I am pregnant with my second and I thought I was going crazy thinking this was true for me too but lo and behold Im not the only one. I have dark hair and the hair on my legs usually grows back as soon as I shave them LOL but not now. Its definitely nice but it would have been nice to have experienced this during shorts and shirts weather

Heightened sense of smell.
Outrageous aversion to meat.
Equally outrageous hunger for sour things. (I crunched lemonade ice cubes like they were a crack addiction)
Feet grew half a size.
Crippling heartburn.

And the big one; My balance is now and forever all out of whack. I used to be able to stand on one foot forever. I USED to be able to call myself graceful. Now I fall down all the time. It's made me a little wary of taking any kind of stairs. Nothing else is wrong to attribute it, either.

Fun question!

Severe aversion to vegetables. My hip joint sort of dislocated also, so that by the end, I would walk a few steps then have to wiggle my hip back into place so I could walk again. It was super fun as I was teaching kindergarten at the time.

no night vision!!!

It's creepy weird only being able to see in "pools" of light in the darkness. Like living in a comic book!

A numb spot right in front of my left ear, near the bottom where it meets your jaw almost, and down a little into the ear canal(?). It would feel numb and tingly sometimes. Made it itchy some, too.
Happened with both my pregnancies and went away after each.
Weird. But weird stuff happens. LOL

Lost my love for coffee and chocolate from 4 weeks gestation until mid 2nd trimester. It was a clue that I was pregnant even before I took the pregnancy test for 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. When pregnant with my daughter, like you, I had a dramatic reduction in hair growth on my legs. It was so great! With my boy, I felt like a gorilla and had to shave every day.

Well, at the time I was pregnant I didn't realize it, but it worsened my Fibromyalgia. I also had that yawning syndrome. My sinuses jammed up tight too. That was on top of the hyperemesis gravidarium and constant gagging from about 10 weeks until the day I delivered each and every pregnancy.

My vision also became worse with each pregnancy. ::sigh:: I effing hate Fibro.

Maybe not strange, but the largest effect I had was the superhuman sense of smell.
