JFF: What Do You Need to Remember to Do This Week?

I have an awful memory...so I write to-do lists and put things on my calendar. It's just part of being an introvert...I am often so inside my own head that I forget to do things!

So this week (today, actually) I need to remember to buy a new alarm clock to replace the one in my room that no longer works.

OH! And I need to buy kitty litter.

How about you? I'm hoping that some of your to-do's will jog my memory... ;-)

ETA: I do use my cell for an alarm, but I like having a clock in my room so I can just see what time it is. I'm a little CDO (OCD...in alphabetical order!).

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

LOL! Ladies, I've just remembered a slew of things, thanks to all of you!

Luckily, I paid all my bills on Saturday. So at least while I'm trying to remember everything I left on the to-do list I left at home, my lights will stay on. ;o)

Keep em coming!

I need to remember to pay my discover card payment in the morning after going to the bank. Mostly, I just need to keep up the laundry which is hard because I can't go up and down the stairs without someone to watch the kids and my mom is not always ready since she likes to be in her room a lot.

My life is boring, what can I say? :)

I have a stack of birthday cards for Sept-Nov that I NEED to mail out--unfortunately I only have 2 stamps... so top of my "To Do" list is: BUY STAMPS! (I've been to the grocery store at least 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and have forgotten each time.)

Daily to do lists help me survive. Lots to do this week but the #1 on my list is to order my son's first bday cake and a smash cake.

Well, I've gotta get red pumps and a red bag to go with my ho-hum black dress for a wedding and I am not looking forward to it. I founds LOTS of possibilities on line, but sometimes the colors turn out to be very different then the pictures, you know? Bleck.

(Can't you use your cell phone for an alarm?)

:)

Haha, we were talking about this exact thing this morning at my office. I often can walk from one room of my house to another & then forget what I went in there for, but when it comes to schedules, I'm practically a robot. Tonight I need to pick up some lunch-packables for my son's field trip tomorrow. Tomorrow I need to check in with my husband mid afternoon to see if he's on schedule or running late so I know whether or not I need to leave work early to pick said son up from school after field trip. Wednesday we have to pick up sodas & chips to take to a Halloween party for our city's parade at 5:30. Thursday hubs is working overtime & spending the night at a buddies house so won't be home for dinner. Saturday we are going to a local farm to pick apples & pumpkins followed by making final decisions about costumes. Monday he is also working overtime & I have to leave work at noon to take the kid to the podiatrist. Whew!

I need to remember to keep all those plates spinning. I do a constant juggling act between home and work. I have the usual - pick up light bulbs, dont forget to buy snack for our week at school. But this weeks added chore is football cleats and mouth guard for the boy and cheerleading uniform, shoes, and hair bows for the girl.

I am exactly the same way. My husband tells me so many things for me to do within a weeks time I sometimes forget for months something that he needed me to get. I make lists sometimes if I remember to make the list and then I have to remember where I put the list. I usually forget what someone told me to do mins after being told. Well I just so happen to have a list this week so here it is....I hope this helps...
THings to buy (all in different stores):
filters
sponges
gripe water
pedialite
Drs appts, Tue 11:30 four month old well visit
Fri. 11:00 ped. GI
Fax paperwork for short sale
call realtor

I hope this helps...wow this looks really bad when writen down. THis doesn't even include all the housework that needs to be done.

About a million things. Love the CDO!

I keep a list and it's helped with the crazy non - tangible things (find a photographer - which I did last week).

This week I need to get tags on the car! And push the husband to get a new license and tags on his car.

Mondays are my work days to make the to-do lists, prepare meals for the week, and make phone calls, etc. Oh, and to check Mamapedia....(I kinda do that everyday on my union breaks).

Start my son's schooling back up (last week we were off due to death in the family)

Make Halloween costumes

Catch up on my own school work

Make a slew of doctor's appointments before our insurance switches (to an uber crappy one, the 'worst' type that we'll accept before going uninsured) and get glasses, MRI, dental work, and something else I'm forgetting... oh... refill all our prescriptions (about $400 worth on the great insurance, 2k on the crappy insurance, and 5k uninsured)

Visit friends @ Childrens

Call my best friend

Oh... & Go to the Pumpkin Patch

I already forgot!
Actually I was forgetting to get the water filters changed (do it once a year) but I finally got it done last week.
When I was on a statin for high cholesterol and unexpected side effect was horrible joint pain and memory loss.
The worst episode was when I was driving down a street I've driven down every day for 10 or more years and for 10 min I had no idea where I was.
I kept buying things at the grocery store that I'd already replaced.
I finally stopped taking the medication (I ran out of my prescription over a holiday) and my joints and memory came back.
I just can't take cholesterol lowering medication.
It's a quality of life thing.
