Ok, a couple of posts have irritated me and I need a DFW upper. What do you LOVE about DFW?

I'll start and say, as a City of Dallas resident, I love North Oak Cliff. I love its restaurants, its cool/funky/old neighborhoods, its sense of community, its parks and nature areas. I love driving over the Trinity River on my way home from work and seeing the beautiful view of the Dallas skyline.

What can I do next?

I am third generation in the area - I love the arts/culture that is available which is some of the very best to be found anywhere. I love the beauty of White Rock Lake and so many other lakes in the area. I love the ability to drive and see almost any kind of landscape....I love the vitality of the city and the kindness found in most of the residents. I love seeing my kids going and doing many of the same things I did and my mother did.....it is home.

Love the people - such an optimistic, can-do culture!! Lived in the northeast for awhile - very negative!

I love that every where you go there is a different culture, a different feel. You can experience the night life of uptown and then go down the road 5 minutes and you are in suburbia. The area is a melting pot of all different cultures and it is wonderful to be in the middle of it all.

The different neighborhoods and the access to so many things. I've lived in the M streets now 8 years and still love how I can get to so many different places so easily via car or train. I have friends that live North of Bush and they drive everywhere to get anyplace. I love that I live in a place where I can walk to restaurants, a local movie rental place, etc. Yes, my house is pricier and smaller but I wouldn't give it up to have to drive everywhere. Also, I like knowing my kids are in a melting pot. Living in a diverse place is good for old and young. Finally, I love that I live in a walking/running/biking friendly area where you can hit the Katy Trail or White Rock real quick.
