Ok maybe it is silly but my 10 year old daughter has no clue about matching or even it seems weather appropriate clothes, so this past weekend I cleaned out all her fall and winter clothes and packed them away and also clothes pinned matched together for her so she can grab an outfit and go without me having to ask her to go change or her being embarrassed around her peers.
One that I do not need so much now that it is summer but really helped during the school year was a large container that held all of the fixings ( minus the sandwich of course) for packing lunches-bags of chips, granola bars, bags of whole fruit /fruit snacks.
The third is pretty simple, we have a sorting container with a handle that has hair brushes, pony tail holders, clips and even detangling spray all in one caddy, because I got tired of asking where all the hair brushes were.

What are the little helpers that you don't even hardly think twice about now that make your lives with kids so much easier?

My stand up shark vacuum that I use after every meal here. The thing weighs about 5 lbs and has rotating bristles and works on both carpet and hardwood and is so easy to use that even my 18 month old DD can work it which she loves to do and is a big help with
I LOVE that thing

LIbman use your own mop. I can't tell you how much I loath using any other mop but that one!!!
I can make my own solution so I don't have to buy the expensive swiffer, I can control what chemicals I have around the house, and I can just wash the pads after mopping. I put them in the towel/reusable bags wash. Perfectly clean!!

I keep a plastice drawered container in the family room with pjs, diapers, underwear, and socks for my boys. They're bedrooms are upstairs and they usually get dressed downstairs. We also only have a 1/2 bath upstairs, so it is nice to have the pjs downstairs for after bath time.

I keep a container of wipes on the kitchen table. We use them to wipe down the kids and their placemats after every meal.

Wine..!!!

Seriously - when my daughter was a teenager we built a shelf for the bathroom and put baskets to catch all of the clutter - worked like a charm! Also I built her a wooden rack with about 50 cup hooks screwed in for all of her jewelry - she worked at a bead shop so she had lots. When she moved out I kept it for all of my stuff - it hangs on the wall next to my dresser so it is really handy.
