I ess i was a day early. We had Rainbow pancakes for dinner last night.
Basically pancakes with lots of terrible foodcoloring. It was totally fun!
I didn't remember until this afternoon. Darn, but I think I will make them for dinner! I LOVE mine with peanut butter and jelly on top...all nice and melty...yum!
So how do you like your pancakes?
Back in the day, butter only was my fave..lots of butter! I don't know if we were supposed to eat them! I guess so, or just appreciate them? Lol. I don't know. And actually, we are not big pancake eaters, maybe have them every 3 months or so. I know people might have different ways of eating them and was just wondering. =)

with tons of butter and real vermont maple syrup on top
Not a super huge pancake fan but I do love pumpkin pancakes in the fall, and yeah sure, I'll have whipped cream with that!
No butter!! REAL maple syrup or thickened fruit sauce on top with blueberries or banana slices cooked inside. Butterscotch chips are yummy, too. Usually, though, I take 'em plain with syrup. They have to accompanied by sausage links or bacon. Yum!
Too late for me to eat them now, maybe this weekend!
I discovered this recipe on allrecipes.com

and I like to dunk slices of bananas or apples into the pancake batter and pop them onto the griddle so you get a yummy fruit-filled pancake. I find myself munching on them as they come off the griddle so some of them don't even get any topping. If I top them with anything, my faves are homemade apple butter or homemade blueberry-plum jam
OMG I didn't even know that and I made pancakes for the kids for dinner tonight! Mini chocolate chips are my kids favorite topping actually they won't eat them without the chocolate.
I saw this on the news this morning. Are we supposed to eat pancakes today?
I love mine with peanut butter and syrup
I love them with fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries on them, along with maple syrup. Delish!! My kids like them plain or with mini chocolate chips, but in different shapes. They especially like hearts or Mickey mouse heads :)
We only make them up on lazy Saturdays (which are few and far between!) or special occasions. If there's leftovers we freeze them and then they can have them on a school day.
Oh dang. I forgot. :( I saw a little thing Saturday morning at Ihop saying that today was pancake day and pancakes at Ihop were free from 7am to 10pm today (but we've already eaten dinner now, lol).
Maybe I'll just have them at home tomorrow before our leap year celebration. :)
I like mine with maple syrup or with jelly. Mom's homemade blackberry jam--YUM! I like them plain, or I'll mix in whatever I have on hand (chopped pecans, fresh blueberries or blackberries we pick ourselves, or strawberries....serve with syrup or jam.....and if with syrup then I really like to have a couple slices of bacon or a little link sausage to dip into the excess syrup. Sounds weird but I like the syrup on my meat, lol. And yeah--we only have them a few times a year but do love them.
If I have to eat them, I like them with Apricot syrup! I am more a French Toast w/strawberry sauce kinda gal!
~We went out to eat recently and my daughter got some PB&J pancakes...they were SO good...pancakes w/peanut butter chips (instead of chocolate chips) and jelly on top! Yum!
I like mine free. So I went to IHOP. :)
I like mine with butter and syrup. When I make them at home, I usually end up eating them straight off the grill with just butter while they are hot. So good!
Love, love, love--blueberry pancakes with butter and blueberry syrup:) Yum!
OK, I'm sure everyone will say this is gross, but it is the best ever - Corn Pancakes. If you use a box mix, just mix a batch up, add one can creamed corn, and one can drained regular corn. Then make the pancakes!! Or it is even better if you make homemade buttermilk pancakes then add the corn. I make these a lot for guests, and they always turn their nose up, and I say "you have to try one at least" and that is all they end up eating. I wish I'd known it was pancake day before dinner!!!!!!
Oh and don't forget to put real butter on top, and real maple syrup!!! Great with crispy bacon too!!
My family's favorite is chocolate pancakes (made with cocoa added to the batter - YUM!) I love the website called Real Mom Kitchen for breakfasts!
