I have three levels.. one is normal, two is loud, three is more like a siren .. oh, and I snort. Every person on my dad's side of the family snorts when they laugh. It's ridiculous when we are all together..
I like things which are a fun distraction, so throwing one out to the group....
Out at the pub tonight for dinner, we heard a lively group across the room. At one moment, a couple of the women were just cackling away, so gleefully and freely.
I absolutely loved it. They were having a great time enjoying each others company.
I cackle sometimes, sometimes it's a giggle, sometimes a loud laugh. But yeah, I cackle.
What do you do?

It varies for me. I have a hearty laugh, that's what Tyler says. He says that's what caught his attention when we first met over 2 decades ago!
I've cackled in the car with my kids.
I chuckle a lot!
I like your question on the eve of voting. I laugh out loud but not too loud. You probably wouldn't hear my laugh across a 30' room. Unless something is funny for 5 minutes or so. then we all laugh loudly. Otherwise I smile alot.
I was watching TV after answerING this question. I realize I make a sound somewhere between a cackle and a giggle; sometimes.a Chuckle
We have a woman in our office that cackles and in this case it is highly annoying mostly because it is constant. Because it is constant it can be highly inappropriate. We think she just does it when she is nervous because she will be telling someone they screwed up cackling the whole time. Does that make sense?
She is the only person I know that cackles.
Depending on what is funny or where the funny happens I giggle, snort, laugh, laugh loudly, I have actually doubled over laughing. Occasionally I snort.
I'm a giggler. I can giggle all night, till my cheeks hurt if I'm out with friends.
A few of my friends can make me laugh so much I lose my voice and my belly hurts. Usually reminding me of funny times we've had that were ridiculous.
My kids and husband make me laugh, just horsing around fun. My family can be very silly.
most of the time i chuckle. on rare and wonderful occasions, usually with my brothers, i hit a deep, gasping belly laugh that doubles me over, and almost hurts. sometimes verges on making me pee.
oh, how i love it when that happens. at least if i don't pee.
i too love the sound of an uninhibited, joyful guffaw. it's too rare.
i think i need to cultivate a good cackle.

Laugh out loud till my collarbone aches.
Sometimes I laugh until my stomach and sides hurt.
I have been known to snort.
I love to laugh as well. It all depends upon what I'm hearing. Like today, I posted on my FB wall that I decided NOT to vote - HilLIARy was going to cheat and rig the election anyway. So why vote?! I giggled to myself while typing it. Knowing the response I would most likely get.
One of my dear friends replies "I know you too well" or something like that - I busted a gut laughing...
I have been known to snort when it's WWAYYY funny.
I have been known to cry I'm laughing so hard.
I think I've cackled a time or two!!
Depends on what I'm laughing about and who I'm around.
My old coworker laughed like a goat sounded. It drove me insane because she laughed about everything (she was a nervous laugher), but it sounded like we were at a farm.
I cackle. My sister sounds like a donkey. My husband chuckles quietly. My best friend is never amused enough about anything to laugh.
Totally depends on the moment! Different things get different laughs from me depending on how funny (or I guess not LOL) it is to me and whatnot.
I have a very loud laugh and sometimes I snort.
snicker, giggle, chuckle and bust a gut while trying not to pee myself.. those are my levels of laughter... the last is rare though... very few can get me to laugh like that
Sometimes I snort and can't help but that makes me even more laughing. I am not too loud but it seems to be contagious to others.
My husband or kids do or say something funny and I can't stop laughing which we all end up in a laughing concert.
I don't think I ever giggle or cackle. It's just a laugh. I do laugh a lot. I mean somehow I laugh all day at different things. It makes me happy.
I am a full on LOUD Guffaw. My kids tell me that they can hear me laughing on the sidelines at their games.
Laughing feels good. And if I REALLY get going...I cry. It's great.
