JFF: Have You Had Any Funny/weird Dreams Lately?

I think dreams are really interesting. Sometimes they make sense, and sometimes they are so off the wall, I wonder "What in the world is going on with my brain?"

Last night, I dreamt that some people I didn't know and I were standing on the side of the swimming pool at my previous house in Arlington watching some ducks swim on the water. Mike Ditka (yes, the football guy) walked around to the other side of the pool to show us he could make one come up out of the water and land on his arm. He stood there, closed his eyes as if in deep concentration, and all of a sudden a bird landed on his arm. But, instead of a duck, it was a bald eagle. We were all like, "Wow! Cool!" Then I heard, "Mommy, I have to go to the bathroom!" and the dream was over.

When I went back to bed, I laid there analyzing the dream and figured out where all the pieces came from: 2 weeks ago we ate at Ditka's in Chicago; I was missing my friends/life back in Arlington a lot yesterday; and I took my son and his friend to a park yesterday, and we talked to the ducks. The eagle?? I'm not sure. Funny how my brain put the random stuff together in a dream.

Any of you crazy dreamers want to share one? I would love to hear it!!!

What can I do next?

I had horrible nightmares last night. I wish I could forget them.

I've had some really crazy dreams though that leave me shaking my head in the morning and wondering where in the world those thoughts came from...and why my brain put them all together like that!

If you see many ducks in your dream and hear them quacking, it toretells good luck. You will have a great deal for which to be thankful. Read this in a dream book.

Bahaha! I dreamed the other night that Charlton Heston was my friend's grandpa, and he was knitting in her easy chair. In my dream I knew he had Alzheimers, but it wasn't advanced. And this is my friend who lives in Tokyo, and the dream was in her house there! Charlton Heston, in Tokyo, knitting. Where the heck that came from, I have no idea!!

I have crazy dream almost every night, last night.

I had a dream that I was back in school and was having trouble because I was always putting off doing my homework. Then, one of my teachers (a girl) was mad because I wore a hat that another teacher (a guy) found attractive on me. So she was jealous. Next thing I know I am riding my bike and trying to change out of a shirt while in traffic, flashing by accident said male teacher. When I turn on the street corner not only am I riding a bike I am pushing a cart and this girl I haven't seen in 15 years starts helping me.

Weird.

But I at least understand the homework part. I am in the middle of writing a novel and I don't feel like it's progressing like I want it to.

I frequently have crazy/weird dreams. I can't remember what I dreamed last night, but the night before I was dreaming about a hospital, and this newborn baby girl that looked like a perfect combination between me and my husband. The nurses put her in a tiny white one-sie with blue stars on it, and I was in awe of how beautiful she was, and couldn't stop staring at her. I remember I was frantically searching for a camera to take her picture. I woke up with tears in my eyes and wondered, could this be the future? :)
