So, I called a mom from school yesterday to let her know we would be at her daughters bday party. The mom happens to be my best friends ex-husbands wife (weird I know) small world.
Anyways, her voicemail picked up and I left a message, and then here we go, it gave me the option to play my message back {{sigh}}, so I did and WHOA, all you could hear was the baby crying. my son humming a loud tune and some other chaos, so of course I erased that message, you could barely hear what I even said. I thought next time I will talk louder to drown out the background, I played it back , Holy ear drums, I sounded loud as hell and real hyper. 3rd time, I started cracking up laughing because I looked down at my 6 year old rolling her eyes because she thinks Im insane for leaving 3 messages. Finally, #4 worked!

Of course it gave me the option to erase all these and rerecord, which is what I did, but then I started thinking, what if somehow she gets all of them??? LOL!

Am I the only crazy one that has done this, it isnt my first time either.

What can I do next?

No I never choose to listen to my message because I know I would be overally critical and wouldn't like it. Then I would have that same fear that the 1st messge never erased so I'd be afraid to do a 2nd. So for me just going with it seems the lesser of the evils ;-)

Bahaha! I have totally done this. Usually for work stuff, but occasionally for the RSVP VM. Especially if I know I have just rambled or sat there and stared at the phone for a second (because I seriously forgot who I called and why) I replay hoping it doesn't sound off, but it always does - LOL!

I have to say that I've never gone back and listened to my messages. BUT, I have deleted mine and started over because I have run out of space before I got everything said. (Because I talk too much! LOL!) So I start over, say it faster, leave out less important stuff, etc.

I should just hang up and call back later when I can GET the person. That would be smarter!

Oh my gosh that's funny :-)

I have recorded my outgoing voicemail a million times. I'll play it back, and something is wrong w it. I either sound completely sullen and blue when i try to be calm. Or I sound manic and crazy when I try to be more upbeat. It's weird. So i finally made one that sounded alright, and I haven't listened to it since...

I have never listened to my voicemail recordings! How funny. I guess I am in the camp of "hope they know who this is!"
