I'm such a homebody. I do not mind going to the movies and to dinner. Just adult conversation. A play or a concert would also be good. I think adult conversation is the key. Want to talk about more than Disney channel lol. I live by the water so I stroll by the pier would be nice also.

Mine: Husband builds us a big roaring fire, we rent a movie get some Thai or Indian take-out and we snuggle, eat and watch the movie...just the two of us!

His: Nice Steak dinner at an uber fancy restaurant, followed by a walk along the river in our park downtown, then maybe hit up a bar inside The Davenport (The Nicest Hotel in our area, hubby LOVES that place) for some after dinner drinks and dessert and then we check into the hotel and take a shower/bath together and then... ;)

~We have done both our 'Dream Dates' before....been together for 15+ years...if money really were no object I would say that our 'Dream Date' would be more like a 'Dream Weekend' getaway...

Go bowling, a good garden restaurant dinner, some scrumpelicious dessert from a patisserie, a long walk on a busy street, stopping at sidewalk cafes for an occasional coffee, through late night!

Helicopter picks us up, whisks us off to NYC where we dine at a ritzy restaurant and then take in a Broadway show, and then we climb back aboard Marine 1 to go home & sleep in our own beds. Oh wait, that's not me, that's President Obama ;)

My boyfriend and I love just going to see movie and go out to dinner afterwards. We also like going out to Chicago and have a fancier restaurant.

Awww, date night. We are usually on the same page. Here are some of the ones that we've enjoyed the most:

1. Bike ride followed by sushi/dinner
2. Wine bar with a live band (his friends from high school)
3. Bowling - it's relatively cheap and we can talk
4. Staying at home with a bottle of wine, a fire and/or a bath
5. Night flight (he has his pilot's license)
6. Comedy club

We're planning on going to a salsa club soon, which should be fun. Sometimes it's nice to do nothing like watch TV or go to the movies. If we had more money we would just go out more often, eat better food and drink nicer wine! The flight time is really expensive so we would definitely do that more. We might try hang gliding :)

ETA: Ooooo, I want a helicopter ride to NYC for a fabulous dinner and a broadway show! I need to be more creative :)

If we had all kinds of money and a sitter (for once!!) then I think hubby and I both would agree, we'd go to the coast, stay in our favorite hotel by the ocean, go out to an amazing dinner, and take a walk with our toes in the sand and enjoy the quiet. With an active two year old, work and all else, that doesn't happen very often for us.

The ocean is the most relaxing place for us, and the one place I know I can get my thoughts together. The way things have been lately I definitely NEED some time away!

We have family nearby who are happy to watch the kids for free, so we go out maybe more than some couples with young kids.
Today us our wedding annivesary and to celebrate we had a nice dinner out last weekend, took a four-day trip to San Francisco at the beginning of the month, and have tickets to an outdoor concert this Thursday night.

We don't always do things that cost that much money, sometimes we wander around Target. It's great to just have time with just the two of us, anything with my hubby is a great date :-)

We pay our sitter a flat rate of $50... no matter how long we are gone. So we usually try to be gone as long as we possibly can! Here is our last date.

Lunch at a casual resturant (Chili's)
Shopping - (went to JCP, Savers, Menards, Home Depot)
A Movie (Avengers)
Dinner at a nice resturant (Jensen's Supper club)
Strolling around shops on Grand Ave and stopping at an ice cream shop.

Had a great time and think we were gone about 10 hours!

This weekend my mom is watching our daughter overnight. We are having lunch at the Melting Pot, A little gambling and attending a concert at Mystic Lake Casino, then a night ALONE!

We do our best not to spend too much money. I subscribe to all of the deal sites (such as Groupon, Living Social, etc). We buy alot of discounted deals for restaurants. It saves money and gives us an excuse to try new things!

Some of the best date nights we had when my daughter was little were when we stayed home (having the house all to ourselves without DD and we could do whatever we wanted - buahhhhaaaa). We often just ordered Chinese take-out and ate it off REAL china plates while sitting in front of the TV and watching a good movie. We NEVER eat in front of the TV, so this was a really unique experience for us. We'd order elegant little dim sum appetizers and maybe something more expensive like a funky shrimp dish. We'd have something chocolate and decadent for dessert.

After the movie, we'd spend some "adult" time together - and we wouldn't care if the neighbors heard us (ok, not much chance of that).

If money were not object, I'd love to take a limo into New York city and have an expensive dinner and see a show.

The best date we ever had was a coffee date at Barnes and Noble.
Money is very tight, so our dates are mostly very frugal. We are paying $40 for a sitter before we even leave the house, so we try to keep it affordable.
We like to go to concerts in the park. The last one we saw was a Zydeco band from Lousisiana. We were up dancing in the grass and laughing. It was great, even though the kids were there, it was still a great date!
We go to the Botanical Gardens and walk around, sit on a bench and talk.
2 dates we've got planned coming up....drive in movie theatre. There is one 45 minutes away. That gives us the drive to enjoy the music and drive and each other. Double feature and 45 minute drive home. all kinds of awesome!
We've also planned a 2 hour cruise on the lake about an hour away. You bring your bottle of wine and picnic and enjoy the sunset. Bought for $25 on Groupon
We go to Ranger baseball games together. I buy a coupon book for $40 at the beginning of the season that has free and half price tickets, so we can go to games all season.
We go to a favorite Salvadorian restraunt or a favorite Jamaican restraunt. They both have great food, music, and dancing. We have a cool little hidden Jazz club downtown that reminds of a swanky Vegas Rat Pack point, expecting Sinatra to pop up any minute.
We have a lot of really great dates.
My dream date would be an all inclusive couples cruise to a tropical island.

We have had weekly date night priority since before our 17 yr old daughter was born. Of course, some date nights were date days instead.

We've done this for almost 25 yrs. and rarely missed a week. We paid $60-$80 a week for a sitter but it was something we thought (and still do) should be a priority for our relationship as a couple.

As for dream date... I don't know, I think we mix it up pretty well weekly.

So... we LOVE fine restaurants, fine wine so we do eat out at our favorite great restaurants.

We are not much into movies but we love sports... so we go see the local sports teams play and we LOVE college sports so we go watch them as well. Sometimes we go to a nice sports bar and watch.

We do belong to a nice country club so we dine there and I sometimes tag along while hubby plays golf. We do have a perk that several local celebs and pro golfers are there often and it is neat talking with them.

Hubby is a good golfer so I accompany him when he is playing in tournaments. We also enjoy going to the tournaments played locally as well as volunteering for them.

We've enjoyed some great concerts here in the Dallas area.

We love being within an hour to 2 major airports and can be at either coast within a couple of hours!

Fun question.. I hope I get more ideas!
