J.K.
I'm not a fan of Zane, but I do LOVE Irene.
Names on my baby list back when I was having babies were, Iris, Danica, Vivian, Jade, Orchid, Ashlen
Boys: Ronin, Jasper and Quinn were my favorites.
Good luck! Choosing names is hard!
My husband and I still have plenty of time to agree 100% on a name for this baby. We don't want anything to common or way extreme either. My sons name is Davin pronounced like Gavin but with a D. I just looked on the baby center website and that name is 568 on the list. LOL! Would like some just as uncommon for this baby.
So a few names we have been throwing around are Zane Thomas for a boy and Irene Elizabeth for a girl. What are your thoughts! I am open to hear any other ideas that you may have too. I am trying to not talk names with family and friends because there are 7 of us having babies this year and I don't want to fall in love with someone else's name choice or have someone take mine.

i always loved the name Micah. not as unique as you might be looking for...BUT let's just say, my last name is also a mineral, so that name is out for me lol.
i love the name Zoe for a girl too. :)
i like your choices too!
I think both Zane and Irene are fine. Irene is quite traditional in a nice way and not "in use" any more that I've heard. It also will fit a girl when she becomes a woman and won't sound silly at 20, 40, or 80. Zane is nice but may not "age" as well as a name; I picture a toddler or teenager Zane but it's hard to see it sounding as good for a businessman or older man. I think names should work at all ages and generally would say, avoid anything too hard to spell or anything requiring explanations, constant spelling to correct folks, etc.
I LOVE your choices!!!!
I like Zane, but of course I think of the old cowboy books Zane Grey (or Gray, can't remember spelling) that my grandpa used to read.
And honestly, Irene seems like an old lady name to me, I would try to think of something else. Its like Wanda or Mildred...Good luck!!!

For a boy I always loved the name Reno! Not something that is going to be heard alot.
If my husband didnt win the toss for our daughter she would of been
Montana LeeAnn but she ended up being Naomi LeeAnn. I only know of 2 others with the name Naomi one is a girl that I work with and the other happens to be in my sons class who also happens to have a twin brother named Austin.
But I do love the name Zane and Irene! Both not very common!
Good Luck and congrats!
Irene is a beautiful (and uncommon!) name! Love it. Pairing it with such a classic middle name sounds great.
Zane is fun, but it's a little hard to picture a grown up professional with this name. What about Fynn? Or Flynn? Or Quinn? Davis?
Good luck!
I actually have met 2-3 Zanes in the last few years, so that is more common than I would have expected. I haven't met any Irenes though!
I love the name Irene. Pretty and feminine. I am execting a baby girl any day now and we are wanting a vintage name but one that is not heard today. Even if the name we select catches on our little one will be the first in her generation without other little girls in her classroom sharing the same name. My husband wants her to have a feminine name, nothing masculine or unisex. So we turned our search to the 50's and 60's. They were classy and sweet. Although we like the old names that were popular 50 years ago we decided to add a different spelling or a middle name from their generation. So we are thinking about Karyn Hannah, Brenda Brooks, Stacy Adele, or Barbera Dawn. Any other 50's/60's ideas?
Hannah Grace for a girl
love the name Zane
don't like the name Irene at all
I like your names a lot, but I like old fashioned names, I named my kids Maggie Maryrose and Theodore Aiden Fisher so I guess I am not one to talk about current or modern names, but I had the same problem, where I didn't want them to have names everyone else in their classes would. I love Zane and Irene is pretty good, but I always imagine a red head with it for some reason. Good luck, I personally say wait until you meet the baby before naming it because you could change your mind!
Look up any of the names popular in the late 60s, early 70s and you'll be in luck. Irene is probably on the list. M., Karen, Jennifer all were big at the time but are never used anymore. Same with Jason, Steve, Roger and Eric.
Good luck!
Our daughter's first name is Miriam, and I don't think it has ever passed the #300 level in popularity in the US. I'm sure she'll never have a classmate with the same name, unless she were to go in Israel. It's more common in Europe or Latin America, perhaps. One advantage to a name like that is it is familiar without being common (people often need it repeated when they first hear it, but then get it and say how pretty it is). Then again, we live in the Bible Belt, so people are likely to know the name.
I think Zane goes really well with Davin. I don't care for Irene at all.
My daughter's name is Annalise. It's not too common, and we receive compliments on it all the time. For unique girl names, I also like: Avery, Emery, Gwendolyn, Iris, Jocelyn, Linnea, Nora, Violet, Vivienne, Zara.
I like Randi for a girl
My vote is Gentry (or Gentrie) for a boy
Congrats and good luck :-)
I think Liam is a beautiful name. It is the name of my little one but he probably will not make it. It is short for William
We have Jason Alexander, Tiffanie Lynn, Niklaus Brogan and Charles Jameson. The names we've picked out for the one I'm carrying now are: Christopher Lane for a boy and Lainey Elizabeth for a girl. If Charles had been a girl, she would have been Olivia Jamison.
