Sorry if I asked last year, but I love April fools.
I've used the sink sprayer trick, switching cerial boxes trick, dying milk, Google eyes on fruit, gummy worms in the sand which, and last year I frosted a balloon for breakfast (that was hilarious!!!).
It's become a little family tradition and the kids think it's fun too.
This year I plan to have my 11 year old (she fell for the sink sprayer two years in a row and cut the cake baloon last year, so it's time for her to get in on the fun!) hide under a trash bag and then tell my son to take out the trash. I also think I'll make brown Es.
I don't play mean tricks, just usually catch em while theyre groggy.
Do you participate in April fools with the family?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Fussy-you reminded me about a time many years ago when I was a manager and my direct supervisor (who had it out for me) showed up at 5 am April 1st with a new badge that said store manager. Wish that would have been a joke!!!!! Congrats on the wedding, cute idea!
I definately don't do anything hateful. I'm gonna make yougert and peach "eggs" and might put broccoli on a stick under a sucker wrapper. My kids love it, and I have fun trying to cook stuff up.

I am getting married tomorrow. Haven't told many people other than the ones who are invited to the wedding (very small, being held on our patio).
We haven't posted on social media that we are engaged.
We are planning to both change our status after the wedding and see how many people think it's a joke.

I absolutely hate April fools day. Pranks always lead to hurt feelings or worse.

ETA: Why would you deliberately make someone feel foolish, make them uncomfortable, scare them, or disappoint them? How is that fun? I just don't get it…

Nope - we don't do it. And I don't like tricks done on me either. So thankfully it's skipped.

A coworker put a sticky under my mouse last year, so I spent about 15 minutes trying to fix it before I noticed it. That was a good one, but it had me worked up because I was busy that day and it took away time I could have been productive.

My mom loved this & got us up early to pull pranks on friends.
We called them w/things.
We'd tie a dollar bill to a string then trick the kids walking home from
school. They'd try & catch it & she'd pull it.
She always made sure they were harmless.
I like the balloon trick.
My hubby would have a fit w/the water sink sprayer so I couldn't do that
one.
I've told ppl I won the lottery, got a new car, won 5k on a scratch off etc.
I think the trash one is harmless.
My mom didn't do so much tricks as she would say things that were later
just not true.
One time I had my friend call, say he was a neighbor & that her car was
on fire. She ran outside to check. It was hilarious. She didn't get it at
first.
My mom also glued a silver dollar to the driveway & watched as we each
tried to get it up.
She put fake fish in a fish bowl telling us she got us a "new pet".
I like the switching of cereal boxes so I'm going to do that one.
