Has the trilogy spiced up your marriage? For some reason, it lit a fire under my butt! Just curious.... my girlfriend said there was something on Dr. Oz that said it helped relationships :)

This is a fun question.... please be nice... i know some wont like the book....

What can I do next?

Hi T.-

I have not read the book yet...

Apparently, in my little corner of ultra right religious folks...the local stores do not carry it! lol

I will be taking a trip to the 'big city' this weekend.

I will let you know!

Best Luck!

I have not read it, but very interesting reviews on Amazon - over 2000 reviews with 1,000 of them 5 star and over 700 one-star reviews! I guess people either love it or hate it.

Spiced things up for us - I think we did it every day for 2 weeks. LOL

As for the "action" we're pretty progressive as it is so nothing was really "shocking" in the book but it definitely got me thinking "sexy" and in the mood.

Hubby didn't seem to mind either though he would always laugh and ask if I'd been reading my "dirty girl book".

I'm in the middle of the 2nd book and yes, things have definitely been a little spiced up lately in the bedroom. After talking about it for a while and then telling my husband how it had been on TV so much, he decided to read it for fun, of course he skips to the good parts and let me tell you, I've created a monster (LOL!!!) by letting him read this. But I love it...

I'll be honest, I think people (not necessarily ones who have responded on here, but others I've heard talk about it) need to take the stick out of their A!# and just read it for what it is. Is it written well...no, who cares, stop over-analyzing it and have fun. I truly think that's why there are so many dysfuntional marriages and people cheating so much because soooo many couples forget that they need to be a "couple" and not just parents. Have some fun and I guarantee you'll be a lot happier in life.

I've totally attacked my husband numerous nights this week! ;)

When people ask me what I thought of the books I totally contradict myself...on one hand it was very redundant and wasn't great writing, but on the other hand I couldn't put them down. Well, except when I was lunging at my man!

I refuse to read that book for the same reason I won't read Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and Twilight.

It's ktischy...I don't think it's real literature. Just me, though!!! I have nothing against anyone who chooses to :) I see the appeal for those that do read it.

I am on the third book now. I agree that they are not well written but, I too cannot seem to put them down. ;) I do want to add that JR Ward writes a series called the Black Dagger Brotherhood. These books are very well written and pretty sexy as well. If you like the 50 Shades books I would highly advise reading her books. I believe there are now 10 books in that series.

Well, I guess I'm just going to have to read this book. Somebody told me it was mostly about bondage (which I have no interest in reading about whatsoever), but it sounds more like that is incorrect.

Then maybe I can actually answer the question!

I read them all and they are fun especially with everyone chatting about them!
Just a note to Bug...of the four mentioned, Harry Potter and Hunger Games are really well written, you should give them a try. Twilight and Shades are not great works of literature but they were fun to read and I enjoyed them!
