Has anyone read her book yet, what did you think of it? I have only gotten to page 50 and I haven't been able to pick it up for 3 days. The book so far was intense.

What can I do next?

Haven't read it but I did see her special interview with Diane Sawyer. WOW. This young woman is amazing. May God bless her deeply.

I don't think I would do very well with it. I couldn't finish 'Room', and that was fiction!

Now I too am curious as to why two of you can't get past page 50. Is it too intense? .
I had to put Tuesdays with Morrie down, I did finally finish it though.

I haven't yet.. but did you stop reading it because it's too intense or just doesn't keep your attention? just curious if it's worth a read...

I posted my response to this a few days ago in my own question.
I LOVED the book! Yes, it was hard to read about exactly what happened to her, but it's so worth it because you see the woman she has become and it is amazing! Of course she has had lots of therapy and will continue to have more, but her attitude and outlook on life is so joyful, so positive. She is truly an inspiration.
And she is an excellent, natural writer.
I hope you are able to finish it, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I've been debating whether to read it or not. Hurting children sends me over the top so I don't know if I would go into sad mode for a while reading it. I watched the hour show on her recovery and how she was hidden, but not the book. Like I said, I'm debating it. I will probably end up reading it, I would like to understand (as much as we can anyways) what that poor girl went through
