I went in a jacuzzi a few times around 17-18 weeks and was wondering if anyone has had a healthy baby after using a jacuzzi while pregnant ? I don't know the temperature of the water, had my normal check up's, ultra sound & blood test with no issues oh and he is very active.

What can I do next?

I was in a jacuzzi when i was 5 months pregnant or so, and my baby was and is healthy. Now i wasn't in for more than 10 mins. so if you are going to keep going in a hot tub just keep the time limited and if possible keep the temp below 100 degrees

If I'm not mistaken the real concern is just raising your body temperature like a fever... if you weren't in too long it was probably fine. I would just ask your doctor if consequences they are concerned about would have shown up on the ultra sound.....

i remember too hot water making me feel like fainting when i was pregnant. i don't think i could successfully enjoy a jacuzzi even if i tried... if you didn't feel awful, maybe it was fine... but i have no idea. maybe ask your doctor?

I did it off and on during my first pregnancy - especially when I was stressed and the Dr told me then it was ok as long as it wasn't too hot or too long. I also sat with my legs in front of the jets b/c I had horrible leg aches

I turned the temp down to 99-winter-summer 96...Even my midwife said get in it and relax! Mine were just fine.

If you had doubts, why did you go in the Jacuzzi at all? I don't think there would be any issues, unless you staying in for a pretty long time and it was too hot. If everything is going ok, then let's hope it stays that way.

Congrats on the baby boy!

it depends on if the jacuzzi is yours or not. If its yours you can make the water to what the dr recommends if not and its a hotel or pools I would stay away they reason they tell you not to go into a jacuzzi is because it can bring on early labor and yo don't want to have a baby at 20 weeks it may not make it. I would stay away till after the babies born its also different if you have your own bath tub type of jacuzzi too talk to the gyno. If you have never had miscarrages or baby losses you still need to talk and discuss that with them.

I have to think the only danger would be if you were in a Jacuzzi later in your pregnancy and your water broke. Then you might be prone to infection. OR if the Jacuzzi was really HOT! These are all questions for your doctor. I really don't think an occasional trip to the jacuzzi is dangerous at this stage, but ask your doc to be sure.

As long as it wasn't too hot, all should be well, especially if you've had okay checkups since then. I went into a jacuzzi tub when I was 23 weeks with my daughter, and she was just fine!
