I just had mine taken out after a little over 2 years. It was pretty much painless but I had a SUPER heavy period for a week after. Like heaviest I have ever had in my life! But no cramps or any of that nonsense. It's super easy... good luck!
I am getting my IUD out tuesday I was just wondering what happens with that procedure also I am wondering if you start bleeding after they take it out or what so I can be prepared. Thxs.
so i got my iud out it was a little painful because it got a little lodge up in the cervix, bad part i had to wait in the room till they brought wht they needed to the office of where i was at. The dr told me i would have light bleeding or spotting and that I was not menstruating first thing went to the bathroom and of course menstratution. Hopefully it dont last to long.

When I had mine removed almost 7 years ago (because it had become dislodged and was uncomfortable), I felt some minor discomfort and a little bleeding. A month later I was pregnant. I had been told not to have more children because of major complications with my first pregnancy and delivery, and I had complications again; however, now I have a happy, healthy almost 6 year old. :-)
me no problems at all. i barely even felt it come out.
For me, it was really easy. It was like getting a tampon out. Took maybe 2 minutes tops. I had very little spotting, but that only required a thin pad. My periods remained normal.
I had no problems with my removal. I asked the doctor to use novacaine and never felt a thing. I even asked the nurse if it was messy and she said that it wasn't.
I just got mine out , and replaced. Mine consisted of a cough and a tug and it was out. Taking it out wasn't bad and yes I did bleed for a couple of days afterward.
I went to get mine out a few years back. After much uncomfortable tugging and yanking, it was determined to be stuck. I ended up needing surgery to have it removed and was never able to have another child again afterward.
i have had mine removed and the only thing i had was a little bit of cramping and spotting. it only lasted a day!!! the other poster that posted about her horror story doesn't happen that often when having an iud removed!!!!
no pain for me! It was the best thing I ever did. No bleeding etc. Had a normal period the following month.
