Issues with game rental online?
What game and what issues with what company?
Some pay to play sites are more trustworthy than others.
If your issues with them are that bad, then don't do business with them anymore - they lose you as a customer.
Google your issues to find reviews/complaints about the game/company.
If others are having similar problems, it tells you the company is not very reliable.

The only issue I had with GameFly is that it too so long for the games to arrive.

can you give more information? Were you using GameFly.com or XBOX.com? Were you trying to download the game? Did it not arrive?
How did you pay - credit card or paypal????
