Same thing happened to me. Cycle got heavier & longer with time. I ended up having an endometrial ablation. I was never certain that any of it was attributable to tubal, but ablation cured all.
I had my son last March. i had my tubes tied after the delivery. Now I am having more frequent periods and ovulation pain. I am having 18 day cycles and I had brown spotting with my ovulation this past week. Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions?
Waiting on call back from GYN. I'm 41 and this was my second c-section and I requested a tubal since we feel our family is complete. I don't know if it's just hormones post pregnancy or something because of the tubal. Other than increase frequency and major pain with ovulation, everything else seems normal.

I had my tubes tied when my son was born via c-section. I was 40 and we now had a boy and a girl, I still had to work full time and I wasn't getting younger.
I was nursing and didn't get my period back for more than a year. Once it began again I did have some more intense cramps a few times but I didn't associate that with the tubal - I assumed that since there had been a baby, nursing and more than a year that my hormones were jsut out of whack and had to become normal. Eventually they did become normal.
If it's really unusual for you go to the doctor. There are all kinds of things that could be happening so it's always best to get it checked out.
they become normal
I wish I had of asked more questions before I had a tubal. Now after researching I have found my issues aren't that unusual. I would have made my husband get snipped instead of me :)
I went from light periods that were 5 days max to heavy heavy ones that i have had last at the longest 14 days. I get painful cramps & what i think is ovulation pain. I've also read about other symptoms I have experienced though they say it's not proven it comes from that. (more moody, IBS)etc.
I figure it's just something I will live with since I can't reverse it. I'm not taking birth control pills now since that is why I had it done with to begin with.
I don't have experience with a tubal but have had symptoms similar to yours. I urge you to see your gynecologist. There can be many different reasons for these symptoms totally unrelated to the tubal ligation.
Are you on any new medications? There are some medicines that mess with your hormones.
If no, contact your GYN.
If you are having heavy cycles, contact your GYN.
If you are sure that your cycle has gotten that short, contact your GYN.
Yes, to put it easy.
I had mine tied about two months after my third was born.
I nursed so my period did not come back until he was 17 months old.
Once it did start back, I found it was the weirdest thing ever. It was never consistent. Some times it would last for four days. Or start then stop.
Oh and the cramping! I am someone that when I started my period as a teen I was a dancer so it was very light and to the point.
Now(this is since I started up again with it)I cramp two weeks before and then for like 4 days after I am done.
If you are really concerned about it I would make appt to see OBGYN. I found it was what it was......I was not going to take BC now, because that was what they wanted to put me on to make it regular. Never really took it when I was of child bearing years..........Was not going to start now......
Tubal should not be doing this.
Had Essure done & have not had any issues with it.Not the same as a tube tying but they are blocked with coils
