Is There an Item of Clothing You MUST Have in Name Brand?

The only shoes I wear are Nike. I've tried others, but none feel as good on my feet as Nike.
Jeans, from Buckle. But that's about it.
Is there one thing you wear that the 'store brand' just won't work?

What can I do next?

Nope. I prefer certain brands because I like the style, but I will wear anything that fits properly and makes me feel comfortable and confident!

My boss's mom always ribs him because he used to want name brand EVERYTHING... so she used to take the labels off clothes he'd outgrown and sew them into new, not name brand stuff, LOL!! I love that story, she's a riot ;)

Not really,
I like to wear what I like regardless of brand name. But I've had very good experience with Victoria Secret's bras, so I save and get those for myself ;)

I really dont care, as long as it fits and looks good. I've never been too big on brand names, although it is kinda fun when you find them in great condition at the Goodwill for a dollar!

no, but it reminds me of some movie I saw. The older dad announced to his adult son "i've switched to Nike. That's all I wear now." The kid was like so...."are you a paid spokesperson? You're endorsing Nike now? Why are you telling me this?"

for me, I have that mindset too. I purposely don't wear any shirts with a great big Nike Or New Blance or whatever across it. THey don't pay me to endorse them. WHy would I want to be a walking billboard, free advertisement space for them. And PAY for the honor, by purchasing the shirt? heck no

No. I hate shopping already...having to stick to a name brand would just be worse.

My husband MUST have either Armani "Mania" or Abercrombie "Fierce" cologne. DANG EXPENSIVE DEMAND, but he does smell soooooo good :)

For me, I won't buy generic peanut butter--only JIF, all natural creamy for me.

I now only buy New Balance tennis shoes, and all leather dress shoes or sandals--otherwise I get horrible foot odor.

ChristieLee: I never could find a 32C in VS bras!
J.: I agree about Nike's. Bought a pair of Asics and I now have a running callous. Switched back to my old Nike's!

Nikes aside, I am a brand-free spirit. If the shoe (jeans, skirt, shirt, bra) fits, I'll wear it.

my jeans are from abercrombie (the only brand that makes me look like i have a behind)
everything else is brand name. cheap shoes hurt my feet. so i wear chloe, stuart weitzman, tory burch etc.
purses...well burberry only :)
pants and sweaters (ann taylor and banana republic)
dresses (banana republic)
not to say i am vain but i have tried stuff at target (example) and all sorts of cheaper places and just didn't feel/look right. so i went back to what i love and looks good on me.

My jeans HAVE to be Levis. They are literally the only brand I can find that has my size in long...and are actually long enough! Also, they last so much longer, and fit so much better.

Nope. I do about 80% of my clothes shopping at thrift and resale stores, so I can't be too attached to any one brand. But I know which brands I like and which ones I don't, so thrift shopping is what allows me to have "expensive" taste.

My unmentionables must be Victoria's Secret. I am rather blessed in that area, and they have the most comfortable on the market. And they're pretty :)

Victoria Secret bras... I don't even think I own a bra that is not V.S.

And the only way I can justify it is we have a friend who gets us 40% off, plus all the coupons that come in the mail. On average I only pay $10 a bra.

Nope. I wear whatever and so do my kids. As long as it fits I don't really care too much. I am more excited when we get name brand things (for birthday or Christmas) because I normally wont spend that kind of money. I have never even heard of Buckle jeans! Must be good, eh?

No, I don't wear name brand, I try it on and if it feels good, great, I don't look for a particular brand of anything... except my food, there are some name brand foods I will only eat...

For me: Jeans from American Eagle. I'm tall and they fit right in all the right places.

Bras from Victoria's Secret (32C isn't always easy to find).

Shirts from Maurice's

Shoes are always Vibrams or Asics for running, and whatever looks fabulous and is made out of real leather for dress. I want shoes that last.

For my boys:

Jeans from Old Navy

Shirts...they don't care as long as there aren't tags or weird seams in them

J.:

I need to buy my boys Gap Jeans - they are more expensive - but they "fit" them better than other brands. Yes, we've tried Cherokee -but they end up not lasting long and even with the adjustable waist? they still end up pulling them up....urgh...

I prefer Victoria's Secrets bras. I take care of them so they last longer.

I prefer Nike's - cross trainers.

I'll wear the cheapest stuff. I could care less about brands BUT I do LOVE my Reebok Easy Tone pants. I nearly passed out when I found a pair lastweek for $24.99 and FREE shipping. Normally they run $80.00.

I can say enough good things about those pants but $80.00? Come ON now, that's just insane. I'm just SO glad I was outbid on Ebay the night before. I would have ended up paying close to $10.00 more for used ones!

The only thing is my coffee, I will only buy Foldgers classic roast. And I will only wear leather shoes, most of the time the brand doesn't matter.

No really, I can always find something I like in EVERYWHERE, (too bad for my husband, lol),I do like some brands more then others though.
However, I do like to buy good comfy shoes for my kids, my favorite ones are Clarks and Born.

I wish there was a brand, any brand, that made clothes to fit me. My foot is size 10.5, my inseam is 35" (I'm fairly slim but don't have young thighs anymore so jeans that are long enough are too tight right below my rear), I am very short wasted so most pants and jeans are too wide at my waist because that is where most people's hips are, I am in between small and medium on shirts and sweaters and have a hard time finding sleeves long enough and not super skin tight, I'm not quite a bra size A so I have a hard time finding bras to fit, and my clothing budget is very small.

Sorry, I guess I just needed to vent.

My jeans have to be Lee or Lee Riders because they are the only ones I have found long enough and no back gap in the waist and gym shoes either Ryka or Avia. Nike hurts my feet.
